Black out mirrors or leave body color???
I am debating over blacking out my mirror covers or leaving them silver. I will be doing a gloss black vinyl roof soon and am thinking black mirrors would look really good with the overall scheme. Thoughts? Opinions?
Here is how the car looks now.

on silver, I would leave it.
I put on matte black ones for a while , too thinking it would match with the gloss black roof and wheel finish but it made the car look too busy. You can always vinyl your mirror caps and see if you like them. If not, just remove.

I bet it would look pretty good with Black mirrors since you have the wheels and grilles to compliment them. Mine are gloss black on my AW E92 with gloss black grilles and pretty much the same wheels. I say do it!

I reckon the blacked out mirrors look good but it also depends on what look you want for your car (ie. an aggressive look).
I've got a b&w theme going on as well. matte black v710s (now with the white ta's), gloss black roof, black grills and cf mirror covers. Here are some pics to give you an idea if you choose to do a similar theme with yours =) This was before i put the TA's on... ] |

I'm actually having the same dilemma right now. I'm trying to find out how much it would cost to vinyl it. Personally, I don't want to spend $400-$600 on CF mirror caps. The local paint and body shop that specializes in BMWs quoted me $85/mirror cap. I like the idea of covering my mirror in vinyl. Just need to find a site that sells it. Do you know of a place that does?
