Hahha no problems you'll need the center console, idrive controller, NBT system, gateway adapter and some DIY trimming to make the touch screen fit

Vince has given me a couple of links for the parts, ill check em out and make sure they are legit

I know what's involved. Also, a RHD centre console for an E93 is a lot harder to find for cheap as well!

I was thinking GB on the adapter. retrofit.ro is selling complete kits hardware for 1200 euro which is a bargain. That includes screen, head unit, iDrive controller, adaptor. I have emailed them and asking them what functionality they include, compared to the adaptor that the bimmerretrofit.com one does.

I think all these guys charge extra for coding, so I wonder if it would be cheaper to get the adapter off them and get the parts separately and get Vince to code it for us?

Sweet, you are all over this mate
I was looking at the bimmerretrofit adaptor and idrive wiring harness which is $499 US
Count me in. the retrofit.ro package sounds like a good deal but if we can get the parts cheaper that would be sweet...
Do you know if we will need a new fascia as well?
Also the retrofit.ro pack includes map activation which is another $200 US with bimmer

Also whats the additional $350 euro for the navigation activation unit?
That would take the package up to $1550 euros?

PM me your email address and I will forward you what bimmerretrofit sent me.
Yes, we need a front CIC fascia. Make sure it has heated seat button cutouts as well, if you ahve heated seats.

lol my link got blacked out because it's a competitor to a forum sponsor.

http:// ( c u s t o m r e t r o f i t . r o )/navigation-retrofits/bmw-nbt-retrofit-kit-for-e-series-bmw-nbt-e-retrofit

replace those stars with ^

Edit: will post email here in case anyone else is curious

Standard eNBT Retrofit Kit
• NBT head unit updated with the latest firmware and pre-coded for your VIN

• NBT CID display for your E9x

• CID Video cable

• eNBT Retrofit Adapter (+ activation of navigation, voice control) – standard, no iDrive touch wiring

• Activation of navigation and voice control

• Latest available maps

• Installation instructions

• Video streaming from USB stick/USB hard drive (if USB/AUX in the armrest is available)

• Video in Motion activation

• 6NR (BMW Apps)

• Internet

• Sports display (real-time power and torque meters)

• Full NBT retrofit coding

• Free lifetime firmware updates

The price is $1,849.00 USD.
If any coding will be required for the vehicle, you will need USB K+DCAN cable.

You will also need:

• CIC Fascia (front panel) = $189.00USD (reg. $210.00USD)

• CIC faceplate = $75.00USD

iDrive touch controller kit is $250 USD
You may also need some additional wiring for Bluetooth, USB, etc.
Rear-view camera with either static (+$150 USD) or dynamic lines (+$375 USD) can be added.

Please let me know the VIN of your vehicle, so I can provide a more detailed quote.

Thanks,

Their price so much more than the custom retrofit . ro website one, but they haven't replied to my email enquiring about the functionality of their kits. WAY CHEAPER, so if it's missing non essential stuff, I'm happy to just pay 1200 Euro and be done instead of about $3000 AUD from bimmerretrofit.

Socks, I dont see your 350 euro navigation activation unit. It also just dawned on me. The kit doesn't actually list the adapter, which is 449 or 499 if you want dynamic rear camera lines.

I got a response re: functionality -
Our adapter is way better then BR one, we offer all functions from very begining, including rear view camera support (BR charges extra for this), headunits we sell are coded, with latest firmware, latest maps and all functions activated, internet, bmw live, apps, office, video in motion, video from usb, voice control, speed limit info, office, audio streaming, etc.
Also our PnP harness has wiring for touch idrive and touch ecu

I take that back.
1200€ package includes:
Nbt headunit - fully coded and activated
8.8'' nbt monitor
Touch idrive
Standard nbt emulator with climate control display and rear view camera support
Video cable between nbt and monitor
Pnp harness with connections for touch idrive and touch ecu (touch ecu is not included)

I have negotiated a discount for us, Socks!

The above kit upgraded to eNBT adaptor for dynamic parking lines normally 1250. Can use any cheap eBay reversing camera using NTSC. Got him to upgrade to eNBT for free plus 5% discount down to 1140 euro for a "group buy" minimum 2 orders lol

That's approximately 1700 AUD. Knocked about 165 bucks off. Freakin BARGAIN. You'd be stupid to go CIC at these prices. Bimmerretrofit are a ripoff in comparison!

Shipping to Australia EMS is 65 euro up to 4 kg and 85 euro up to 10 kg. Each unit is 2.5kg, so 4 units would meaning shipping would only be 32 bucks AUD per unit. Trying to negotiate a further discount if we have more in the GB but I don't think we're gonna have a great deal of takers as it's not an easy DIY. Even if you pay someone, it'd still be worth it.

Keep in mind, you will still need to purchase CIC Fascia and front plate and also USB/Aux in combox. You will also need touch ecu to run touch iDrive controller, approx 8p euros brand new apparently from BMW dealers. Will get a part number soon.

So are the parts the same regardless of whether you are coming from CIC or CCC?

Also I have a front and rear camera now, I. Wonder if it will just work the same or need a new rear cam that plugs in and the front won't work? :/

That is a bargain at that price. When I was looking it was about 2500 for all the parts then doing the actual retrofit (this was a few years back) and coding. Looking forward to the retrofits.

Kent, are you able to verify this? I have a front and rear facing camera currently controlled with a Alekshop multimedia unit add on.

Also, since we have more ppl... Bigger discount?
