Hello,

I have a 2012 e93 335i LCI

right now, I am running 225/40/18 front w/ 12mm spacers and same for the rear instead i have 15mm in the rear , squared setup with 18x8 BBS CH-R ET40. I've also already installed m3 front sway bars and lowered on KW street comfort coilovers

However, the front fits fine, however, the rear just looks awful due to the wheel gap , here's a picture: https://ibb.co/wCSWptT

So I just recently ordered the m3 5 piece front control arms upgrade and plan to put them on which i'm sure will effect my camber, alignment etc

But before i install that, I want to fix the wheel gap in the rear so it will go with the alignment.

Would it work if i swap my 225 rear tire to 235/40/18 in the rear with the 18x8 BBS CHR ET 40 and also swap 15mm wheel spacer to 20mm?

Will this effect the handling or steering anything pertaining to how the car drives when i install the new m3 control arm kit?

From my understanding, this setup would be:
18x8 +40 w/ 225/40r18 and +12mm front
18x8 +40 w/ 235/40r18 and +20mm rear

I know I wont be able to acquire the chunky beef tires that I desire, but I'm not willing to throw down another 1K into 18 x 8.5/9 wheel when i just bought these a few months ago

Is your car RWD or AWD?

It looks like a RWD model so you should have went with a wider wheel & tire for the rear. Stock wheel & tire sizes are larger than what you have now, meaning these wheels are a downgrade. It might be worth it to sell the rears and purchase the proper size.

I have a similar issue right now.
I do not mean to jack your thread but since my situation and your situation are pretty close, I’ll post it.
I’m putting Yellowspeed Racing coilovers in a week or two, and I currently have:
Front - PSS 225/40/18 18x8 et35
Rear - PSS 245/35/18 18x9 et38
I’m looking forward to putting in 15mm and 20mm, front and rear respectively.
It would be et20 front et18 rear.
I quickly measured how much would my wheels have to poke for flush fitment and I’m not exactly sure how to measure it so I’m stuck here.
I could either go with et25 front and et23 rear by going with 10mm front and 15mm rear spacers, or go with a more aggressive setup mentioned above.
Can I have anyone’s insight?

Yeah its just difficult selling a pair of wheels rather than 4

When i first bought the car, they came stock with 17 (17x7.5 i think?) but i upgraded to 18

Just curious, why do you say its a downgrade?

This is solely my assumption, do not buy my words if found else anywhere.
I had stock 287 style rims, which I believe are 18x8 front 18x8.5 rear staggered for RWD models.

He probably was assuming that you had 287 style rims instead 17” rims somehow.

Because you went from a 255/40/17 rear tire to 225/40/18. Much skinnier tire, less grip.

my car came with 225/45R17 stock squared setup

Your car may have came with those wheels but those aren't the stock sizes for 335s
