War on plastic
I am moved by Inks disgust of plastic parts under the hood.
What plastic parts can be replaced with more robust bits? For example stock charge pipes can be changed out for aftermarket metal pipes..... Post your suggestions below Extra points for pics, part numbers and links |

The cores are still metal (duh) but the end tanks are plastic, same with a lot of cars. They just mass produce the tanks, seal and crimp them onto the cores and there you have it. They will fatigue and crack, though. Aluminium rad won't add much weight but will be far more robust (and look great too)

If i have enough interest, i could speak to a mate of mine who might be able to scan and machine up some billet cam covers.
I dare say it wont be cheap though lol |

I'm running silicone ones from FCP euro
BTW, all the parts for the brake booster line for the M3 Cowl came in, was dark so haven't got any pics of the finished product yet but heres some pics of the line. For those who don't know, the brake booster plastic line runs across the engine and looks a bit untidy once the M3 cowl is in. This braided line can fit into the M3 cowl's cable duct and make everything all look nice and neat. I bought a spare LHD spec brake booster pipe and it really came in handy. The join to the brake booster is a 90 degree angle, making it heaps easier to route!

Larger capacity and better core helps with the speed of cooling down when hot. |

I've hidden my brake booster line after replacing with heater hose. That was such a visual eye sore!

Forgot to say what I used:
The hose size is 8AN which fits over the stock vacuum barbs just fine. I used the caps from some 8AN fittings to lock in the outside diameter of the hose and cover it all up, making it look all nice: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/221981353...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT I'll probably redo the hose though, the hose I got was cheap shit from china and the stainless reinforcement is poking out in some places. Not leaking though. Good 8AN hose is expensive though, I think 1 meter is just a little bit too short (I think 1.2-1.5M would be ideal), so $80 on a hose is a bit steep. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/AEROFLOW-...tlwguelttXo31g This is cheaper and local but not sure if its good: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/191469903...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

I've bought both in the past from FCP euro and receive the exact same product (just cut to different lengths). The 5M version is just better so you get less wastage. The silicone is sooo much nicer to remove unlike the rubber which welds itself to the barbs over time.
