Hi guys,

I'm going to add USB and Snap-in Adapter (cradle) to my E90 LCI 2011 at the same time because they are in the same position. I know that there're many threads talking about this but I need to ask for the guarantee

Car's Options:
- CIC with combox
- One USB port in glove box
- One AUX port in armrest
- Bluetooth streaming




Preparation:

2. Coding
- How to code to make USB and Cardle working?
- Since I'm new BMW coder , just only code to Activate BC Digital Velocity by NCS Expert, so please help to show specific guidances.

- Do I need to unplug battery negative before running the cable?

this usb socket will not fit
you should have special usb socket with 6 pin socket so that aux can come in and come out
and this iphone 5 snap it will not pass analog video because iphone 5 do not have analog video output

Oops!!! I've already purchased this usb socket . Is this the correct one? I see only 4 pin socket for AUX

For iPhone 5 snap-in, I found this information:

Phone version (requires base plate) snap-in adapters provide:
Charging of the device
Secure and stable docking location
Vehicle specific mount
Improved reception by connecting to the vehicles external antenna

Music version (vehicles up to 9/2010, requires option 6NF) adds:
Integrated USB connection which negates the need for a separate audio cable
Access to the music tracks stored on the Smartphone
Up to 10/2010 for X5/X6.

Media version (vehicles from 9/2010 and on, requires 6NF or 6NR) includes the same as Music version and adds:
Display of "cover art". With "cover art", the applicable song's original album cover will be displayed on the central information display.
For vehicles equipped w/ BMW Apps (SA 6NR), this adapter allows the full functionality of the option, including 'video playback' and the 'plugin' feature.
From 10/2010 and on for X5/X6.

Connect version
Same function as the Media Snap-in Adapter.
Specific to NBT vehicles and support BMW APPS, these include many MY2013 SA 6NF 6NR optioned vehicles and most MY2014 SA 6NR 6NS vehicles. CIC vehicles with SA 6NR and 6NS will not support audio out with the Connect device. These will require the soon to be released Music/Media device which is expected early 2014.

because of that nbt f-series headunit can play avi files from usb
i can sell you correct 6nf usb socket , baseplate and 6nf aux and video cables except usb if you still interested in video playback from iphone4s

Hi, I have E92 with BWM profesional radio, it has aux, but no usb. Seller told that it has bluetooth. What do I need to add USB support? Is this AUX/USB Adapter enough? It connects directly to radio?

Hi All, I'm looking to retrofit the 6fl module - but I do NOT need USB to interface with HU. My goal is to do a tablet install and use the 6fl module for a BT dongle - but I do not have have the USB port (only AUX) and I want to use the built in 12v for my DashCharge adapter (Oneplus proprietary charger).

Is it possible to use a vampire clip to draw power for USB without connecting it to HU? Or is there another way I can get power to that USB port without connecting to HU?

Hello do you get this to work? I have a 2011 535 in the usb port in the glove box and aux in the center console as well- I do have the 06vc combox, and navigation. I'd like to have the USB port in the arm rest as well. Exactly what parts do you use as I was looking at oem parts on ebay as well.

i've made additional question to you in your threads because i need to knew what modules you have now in trunk.

for us without iDrive we just buy a new HU Professional with BT functionality from AliX, add USB/Aux (the larger/taller version works for me, the small one had not) combo with wires and call it a day... phone syncs, BT works and USB/Aux too... it even came pre-coded.

edit with pic... USB in the iDrive controller area...

Just be careful, not all of those from eBay/AlieX works... I had to buy a second set to make it function properly...
