I did get the 30FE code when the car would over boost. I could feel the difference between 3.01 and the 4.01 maps in the way they would drive for me.

Also, I get random boost oscillations still while cruising and trying to pass someone. Any one experience this?
Drive map is a VERY mild map. If you have access to 91 or 93 i suggest you give sport map a try. The loss of power you're describing is probably all in your head due to you being behind the mustang. However, to be sure its best to datalog a couple pulls.

Best tuners to send it to would be Cobb, just email them the .csv file. You can also post the graph/file here as an attachment just change the file name to .txt if your uploading the .csv file.

quick map question

has the beta 4.01 map been updated recently to help with boost oscillation? or would it be called 4.02 etc. I have been running the 4.01 for about 4 months and seem to be experiencing some oscillation, not terrible but not as smooth as I think it should be.

Thanks

They have an oscillation fix V4.02 map. Email Cobb if you're interested in trying it out.

Everything looked fine the chart. No throttle closures or timing corrections. AFRs were solid and boost looked like where it should be. To be honest, that's a damn pretty log.

I have a 135ia Coupe and just installed new spark plugs. I also had the ETS 5" FMIC installed along with BMS OCC.

I filled up with 98 octane gas (equivalent to US 93 octane I think) and installed the V3.01 Stage 1 aggressive map from COBB.

I don´t know how to read the log though. I e-mailed it to COBB and they said I have knocks on cylinder 2 and 5 which isn´t good at all. Someone else on a forum said it wasn´t that much of a deal and that I should fill up the car with 1/4 E85 (ethanol) and try the 4.01 beta maps (stage 1 sport).
I will try this and see if it helps.

But how do I see if there is a knock/problem or not looking at the log?
As far as I can see there are cylinder timing problems on almost all cylinders at higher speeds, not just 2 and 5

Sorry about the upload, I wasn´t allowed to upload .xml file and I have tried the .xml graph generator someone put together but I get an error all the time. Not being able to generate a graph

you have to load it by renaming the file to .txt for example

Basically when the DME senses knock it will pull timings to avoid it. Timing pulls on 1-2 cylinders (the timing correction column should ideally always show 0) now and than is normal but if you contantly get them on multiple cylinders around the same rpm means the map is too aggressive for your octane/mods etc.

Ah thanks for the tip!

So I upload the file again. Rename it to <something>.xls to view it.

Well I have 5 cylinders that deviates from 0, especially on 4:th gear on this pull.

So the general "rule" is then if more then 2 cylinders timing corrections deviates from 0 at the same time it´s bad? It just has me wonder why COBB said cylinder 2 and 5 in this case with this log when there are more then that. They are the worst I guess but ... yeah.

probably because they drop more degrees than others and more consistently. I normally do 3 pulls with a new map and wait 1-2 km between them. If the multiple drops happen on 1 pull only and looks good and the next 2 (maybe pulls 1 cylinder or 2) than is fine.
In your case you are dropping 4-5 cylinders in 4th where IAT rises so first i would upload with the same gas the sport map of stage 1plus and see how it looks.
Than i would put some E85 and run it with both sport and aggr map and see again how it looks. Since you increase octane with E85 the timing pulls should pretty much disappear (none on sport and maybe 1-2 cyl in aggr.)

Just saw this. Atr has a parameter for auto shift smoothing

'Disable Torque Intervention by Ign.' The setting says the purpose of this setting is "...to disable some DME logic reducing timing during shifting. This can also cause firmer shift in automatics, not desirable to some users"

Get use the codes & take it down from Stage 2 Aggressive (you don't want to be doing any damage to your car). Once we know what the codes are, we'll be able to specifically identify & remedy the problem.
