Injector Issue 09 335i N54

Was replacing an injector and realized that the new one wasn't sliding all the way in. I checked and the bottom of the injecotr is shorter than the one I was replacing. I included a picture where the red is where it's hitting and the blue is where my original is. Did they change injectors mid production or it it the wrong one?

Part is 13537585261-09

Decouplers are required. Did you install them?

I did. Brand new ones. I'll take a side by side tomorrow so the difference can be seen.

One of the guys told me that he has to tap his into place to get them to work. Bingo,that worked. They seated then.

just compared index 1 to index 12 and yes the shape is different.
