Introduction - Hi!
Hi all,
New member here. Name's Chris, from Australia. I've just recently bought a nice 2012 E91 LCI 320i. Picture attached below... Anyway, it's ex BMW Australia car, in black sapphire and has a bunch of extras, like M-Sport suspension, wheels, seats and steering wheel... I'll put the full options list at the end of the message, for those that are keen! It's perfect second car for our family of three. The dog has been banned from going in this one, as the interior is way too clean! This is one seriously well maintained car. Hats off to the previous owners! Being an ex-detailer, the first thing I did was a full detail, which was worth the effort! Plans for the car... Not many. First "mod" is at the request of my Missus... It apparently needs a reverse camera! So I'm update the screen to an 8.8 andriod unit and reverse camera. It currently has the 6.5 inch business navi setup at the moment, which I don't mind, however if I'm going to the effort of installing a camera, I might as awell upgrade the screen too. Plus want to get carplay back into action and it seems to be quite a simple install. I considered going down the bimmer tech route, however found the prices once converted to AUD to be a little out of my budget and ordered the aftermarket screen replacement and camera for about a 3rd of the cost. Other than that, I aim to keep it well maintained and immaculate, as I feel the E91's could be on the verge of being a future classic? Too soon? So, pretty much something for me to keep in great, original condition. Cheers! Welcome to the forum Chris and congrats on the new E91.
Looks beautiful, well optioned and is already a collectors car imo One thing I would do next time the tires are due for a change, is to ditch the run flats and put on regular radials. The ride is so much better, trust me on this Anyway welcome aboard, feel free to reach out if we can help with anything Cheers Socket |

Thanks Socket.
Yes, I’ll definitely be considering getting rid of the run flats when the current set are due for replacing. Absolutely loving the car so far! |

Welcome to the group mate. Nice car. My E91 is has about the same specs as yours but mines prefaclift with full black interior, Aluminium Glacier Silver trim and the MSport Style 193 wheels.

Congrats on the car and welcome to the forum. You’ll like it here.
Really like those oem wheels. They compliment e91 shape very well. You should really consider converting to black interior. It will transform you car and driving experience. Make friends with Socket. He’s been around the block and knows a thing or two about these cars. I don’t think there is a part that he hasn’t disassembled I’m one way or another. Plus he documents everything with diys. Needless to say he’s been a great help. |
