Stock is 25.05 about. I've seen 28" slicks. I'm gonna try 305/30-19 which are 26.3" remember it's half the difference off the rims so about 5/8" more sidewall than stock, but 2" wider. With my LSD, that's 14" more grip.without a real LSD, a stick 335i has 10" of grip. I should have 24".

Yup. No sidewalls, extra weight. Harsh ride. Extra cost. Most think they look gaudy. Can't imagine how harsh potholes are on those.

Is it possible to go with a 50/52 offset with a 19 x 11 to get it nearer the damper on the rear. I have a 19 x 9 et 39 and have mesaured the room left between edge of the rim and the damper which is 40mm. So to be safe a 19 x 11 et 52 would be 38mm closer to the damper leaving approx 2mm and would be closer to the fender by 12mm, all compared to the 19 x 9 et39? I have no physical experience on actual trying this , only on measurements that i have physically done on the car. This is on my E93 as well, is there any more room left left on your car between the wheel and the damper, ie approx 10mm with your 19 x 11 et43? Is it possible that a 19 x 11 et 52 could be done? Any info would be much appreciated before i order the wheels.... Im hoping to squeeze a 325/25/19 on it which is a fair bit lower than a 305/30/19.

It's really not that bad. I run 245/30/20 in front and 295/25/20 in rear and the vast majority of my driving is in the city. So I hit potholes, metal plates, uneven pavement, missing pavement, debris, etc. pretty much every day. Obviously I try to avoid them, but some of it's unavoidable. It is harsher than stock obviously, but it's smoother than you'd think. Wheels are 20" Forged1's and I've yet to bend, crack, or damage one.

I'm also lowered a decent amount on KW V3's. It's only ~.5" difference in sidewall between 19"s and 20"s. Tire brand/type will have at least as much impact on ride. Some tires have much stiffer sidewalls than others.

I had a tire shop install my rears on my front by accident, the steering and handling felt very strange with 255's out front. Took me about 2 minutes to get out of my car to find what was up.

Probably more because you were reverse staggered and incorrectly offset than anything else.

Felt steering related, and also the car seemed to follow road imperfections like a pro. Didn't really notice lack of traction on the drive axle.

When you said you've seen 27" tires on a car is that just on the rear?

28" rear drag radials. Shiv used them for his record quarter mile run 10.82 @131.99

Really wish I would have got some taller winters can use the extra ride height.

Could have OD of 26" with rear 255/40 r18 and 225/45 r18.

Perfect time to sell my currents tires next month lol

Why so narrow unless those are for snow.

Ya my winter set. Most people ask why so wide, its usually a hassle to find the rear tire.

I'm contemplating a E90 build and keeping my M3's wheels.

Anyone think I could make these fit or will I need to go with M3 bodypanels? I'm thinking the 315 might fit with a good fender pull, but I'm worried it'd be too much and make the fender look like crap. Fronts I'm pretty sure won't fit at all. Rears could fit a 5mm spacer still, the fronts are pretty flush as it is. Widebody work is going to cost a chunk of change.

Front: 18x9.5 +22 275/35 BFG SC2
Rear: 18x11 +34 315/30 BFG Rival S

It didn't balloon that bad actually. They ride very smooth.

Thanks. For whatever reason my car's underside is extremely difficult to photograph from the rear. Might be due to how low I am, I'm not sure. But it looks way more aggressive in person. I don't think a 305 would sit in the wheel well though, at least not if you're lowered as much as I am. I barely have enough room with these 295s.

So on the E90, this is what a 18x11+34 with 315/30/18 BFG Rival looks like

Last pic is a size comparison to the 255 on the car. FYI: BFG Rivals run wide. This is about what an R888 would look like.

So basically the inner tire has maybe 2mm of clearance and would likely rub under harsh bumps. On the outside, it is poking about 15mm outside of the fender.
