Yea man, Ive been hoping someone has this setup as well. I have the VRSF dp's and I've been on the fence, holding back, trying to see which system I was going to go for. I like the HPF's exhaust because the sound reminds me of my G35, which I sold to get the Bimmer. For some reason it just has that nice deep grumble sound that makes the car sound more aggressive compared to the stock, quite, and passive sounding exhaust. I mean why do people get exhaust systems? To be seen and heard...duhhh

True. What i really want to hear is the VRSF exhaust... From how Tiago described it, it sounds like it's made almost exactly like the HPF exhaust but somehow quieter. And i'm pretty sure price is also well below 1k which would be awesome.

Hahaha check it out, literally sounds exactly like the way the HPF exhaust is setup

AA & AE offer a great product and can definitely provide the guys looking for immediate satisfaction with a more than satisfactory product.

For those interested in our exhaust, it will feature a 3.5" fully stainless steel design which weighs about half as much as the stock system and incorporates a v-band clamp design. More importantly it will also cost a bit more than half as much as most of the current competitors.

For those looking for more information regarding our exhaust design/sound, we use a 3.5" design which takes a less common approach. Rather than sticking with the dual exhaust system, we combine the two exhaust paths into one 3.5" pipe and split off into two 3" tips after the muffler. We're utilizing an adjustable rear tip which will allow both single & dual tips and will allow for customization of both tip orientation and adjustability for Sedan vs Coupe fitment.

As for sound, the exhaust setup utilizes a specifically designed muffler to keep the overall tone similar to stock in idle/cruise conditions. When you open it up, you get to experience the full effect of the 3.5" catless exhaust with a deep, aggressive tone.. In wide open throttle conditions, the exhaust does a great job of accentuating the high compression exhaust note without the excessive drone/harmonic imbalance found in most systems. This sound is loud enough to differentiate from stock but more refined in comparison to the louder race/non-daily driver exhausts. If you're looking for something loud enough to wake the neighbors, this exhaust isn't for you (or at least this variant

I can definitely offer a group buy price for the initial batch of exhausts but I just wouldn't feel comfortable taking anyone's money until I had a concrete ETA of when our current production batch will be readily available. I should have more information regarding the availability of the production units in about 2-3 days. As soon as that info becomes available, I'll gladly update anyone interested in purchasing
Edit: Nvmd i guess it's not all that much like the HPF although it sounds like the exact sound i'm looking for. I'm trying to find where he spoke about the price but i can't seem to find it anymore... I'm pretty sure it was somewhere in the $700-900 range though. 99% sure it was below 1k but i could be wrong...

I've never personally tested the AA so I can't comment on the drone against that. Just because we chose the 3.5" single pipe route, doesn't mean it's a HPF exhaust. I believe AMS also went with the 3" single rather than 2 2.5" pipes which everyone seems to be doing.

The general area of 2 2.5" vs a 3.5" pipe is almost the same but you have the benefit of a huge weight reduction which will absolutely benefit the car all around (handling, acceleration).

i would actually prefer a really loud exhaust as long as it sounds clean. which is why i really want more fully catless HPF gen II owners to post vids... it's been a WHILE since the first shipment i think...

also, the VRSF exhaust has a muffler and will probably be a lot tamer than the HPF... and idk about well below 1k, maybe around 1k

Question.....I have the gen2 installed. Now would cp-e catless downpipes be OK? Or are catless? There's a big price difference but I'm all about better performance.......

I think you meant AR catless? if so i'm pretty sure all catless downpipes should give you the same gains as long as the pipes are the same size? The AR downpipes are more expensive because they're supposed to be higher quality though. Post up some high quality video's ASAP when you get the downpipes

CP-E is also really high quality. performance difference between cp-e and ar will be nonexistent.. I'm planning on running cp-e catless downpipes with the HPF gen II, so if you get the downpipes on, put up some high quality videos of cold start and revs and acceleration to redline if you can!!!

I would like to know now before you get downpipes if this setup has any drone. You should make a nice video now and then after down pipes.

Think we've crossed the line from Awesome into Obnoxious

For a DD, that's prob gonna make your ears bleed with all the drone (highways ). The VRSF CBE sounds interesting, but I recently dumped their DPs after disappointment w/ the quality of materials.

If you're going to buy DPs, IMHO there's really only 3 companies you should consider: AR, cp-E & Macht Schnell. The AR's are basically the Cadillac in this segment, they cost the most but also have the best fit & use the highest quality of materials. Then cp-E & MS. IIRC, AR & cp-E are your only options for Xi owners.

I'm sure it sounds amazing with stock downpipes I just want to hear it fully catless. if you end up getting downpipes, let me know

also, benzy, that's the non-resonator first gen HPF.. probably significantly louder than the one we're talking about

was gonna say, in NJ catless DPs + that exhaust = insta-ticket

Seen way tooo many cars get tickets from local PD for their exhaust + "Noise Pollution" Civics 95% of the time, but also Camaros, Vettes, Mustangs, ///AMGs and even some ///Ms
