jb4 g5 n54 vs bolt on c5 z06
hello everyone, Yesterday I ran into a friend who has a bolt on c5 z06. So we decide to race. for 50 dollars, I have a jb4 g5 in a e92 n54. I usually run e85 on map 5, but lately I have not been using the tune and I have been leaving it on map 0. Well just so happens when we raced I was just on 91 oct and almost out of gas it said 10miles till empty. we went from a dead stop and he beat me by a car and a half. After the race he didn't stop,he was acting really cool and just took off so I couldnt give him his 50 dollars he just won from me. I was hoping for a rematch then and there,but no dice .
So he gives me a call and said lets go for 100 dollars so i can make another 50 from you like a cocky a$$ . I says okay so we are going to meet tomorrow at the old air port strip and do it. My question is do you guys think I will beat him with map 5 and e85? he barely beat me by a car and a half on just 91 oct?FYI my car is stock with a jb4 g5 and e85 but we are at high elevation so his NA car wont breath as my FI car. I never race for money or like to beat up my car but we have always been competitors he also has a 1000hp car That ive raced in my other built car several times but these are the daily drivers so we are just having fun, but Id like to win especially since its a z06. let me know if its worth my time and money .Also I posted here because I will be posting a video tomorrow. Honestly from a roll we went from he was not pulling me at all. Although it was maybe a gear long race , I have a curious question is there anyway I could turn up the boost some how with my steering wheel controls? Or would that not be smart? thanks again.

Ive already beat his other car with that. No point in breaking anything to race a bolt on c5. ive seen people make like 50 whp and 100tq more with a jb5 G5 with just e85 and a little meth,(and to clarify I mean those numbers on top of what the car already made with the jb4 g5 so the car made 100hp with just the jb4 and and extra 50 using e85 and meth for example). so I am confident with just e85 I can manage to be at least 2 cars faster which would lead to victory,Like I said he only beat me by a car and a half and he didnt pull till 3rd gear. I wouldnt say its over for the N54 just yet ... anyone else lol thanks for the reply.

If you use E85 and map 5 remember to do some WOT pulls in 3rd before the race so the JB4 can learn the change in fuel, you should see a nice increase in performance with E85, even with a 20/80 mix on map 5, I'm also lucky enough to have 93 available here everywhere.

No I am not trolling ,Also we dont care about the money its more of a friendly battle,but you got to bet something. Thanks for the advise everyone. The reason I had the tune off is because I was having issues with random reduce engine power, That in fact didnt involve the tune like I thought.I just put 40% e85 and I am going to run map 5 with some wot pulls than call him. Ill post the video later.

My uncle had a I/H/E/tune '03 C5Z. Hit 390whp and trapped 118mph in the dead of summer.
I'd like to see what happens in your next race. With some downpipes and meth you could get him. |
