Hmm, figured carbon would fit better.
Where’s yours not fitting? Looks good in the photos.

What are you using for the grills in the vents?

As for the lower center section of the rear bumper I mentioned earlier, I used some wire to hold it up in place for now.
I drilled a hole in the heat shield and ran a wire from the bumper mounting points to the holes. This will hold it for now and reduce flexing and ripping/cracking paint when driving because of the air it will catch.

I want to drive it again haha. Almost to the “complete enough” spot.

I have eyed up widebody kits. That’ll be at least a year. Do not want to back up my work already lol.

Finished putting together my other mirror.

I also attached one of the sets of door trims I have. Still have to attach other parts as well. I will be wrapping that because painting in my experience tends to chip.

Looking at them again I think it is the wheels off the F10 M5. The 688m. I'm embarrassed lol

Finished building the cheapo harbor freight work bench for the garage which was very much needed. The garage is still a ridiculous mess (in part because I've decided an engine and a transmission are necessary equipment to have in it) but getting better, have to manage to get the car in before the storm

I built mine but left the back unattached and mounted it higher than the table top to have more space to hang tools.

Took it out for its first drive. Had only driven it around the block a few times.
Finished installing m3 rep parts this week so it made it to the road trip.
So far so good.
Rear bumper started to sag around the tail light area. Have no idea why, will take it off and see what’s going on once I’m back.

It looks like home. I have the same workbench, same clutter and even the same old fake wood bookcase for shelves.

You know when you beat someone in a street race and they just turn off down some random street?

Anyways, not sure where I am right now.

-saw this on a fb group and it cracked me up-

Nada, drove it to work.

But, I've been hearing a "buzzing" sound from under the car when going 40 MPH+. I think I'll have one of the Techs at my job take a look at it when I get back from Vacation.

There's only one tech at my job that works on German cars. Everyone else only works on Fords

Are those the replica carbon grills? I've been eyeing up some real ones, but do not want to drop $150 lol.

I seperated the front door panels and finally am done with the door cards. Now for the pillars / headliner.

Mostly finished organizing the garage. Remarkable achievement for someone like me that always forgets to put tools back where they got them from. At last she can sleep inside

That does look quite similar actually lol I use the wood cabinet for fluids and sprays and such so they're all in one spot, need to get more shelves to put the remaining tons of crap somewhere else

This is a good idea, I will brainstorm a bit about how I would do this since the house buiders decided to put the pipes for the water heater right behind where I have it… so a bit tough to mount up. But definitely already realize the loss of space at the bottom of the board
