Wonder if this will apply to the UK. I doubt it as we tend to get the shitty end of the stick when compared to the US.

I understand and I'm inclined to believe you, but some solid proof instead of hearsay would be nice. I've had multiple BMW employees tell me today that this is nothing new, it's a 10 year old campaign that's had a bulletin number revision and nothing will come of it. I even had one of them check DCSnet with no luck. Maybe that's just because I'm in NZ though?

I just visited the local dealer in Bulgaria and they claim that currently there is no such recall available.
They couldn't provide any additional information.

Because you're not in the United States would be my guess.

I wonder why they are not doing the recall on the early 07' builds .... different index injectors?

This is a real document. I have a buddy at the dealership and I was able to get a full copy of the document last night. He stated BMW has not tagged any vins yet which is why it does not show up for anyone. It will take a few weeks for that to be completed. Here are a couple pics of document.

Yeah, the UK only gets the shitty cars like the 335i/340i touring. If only they were available in the US....

My guess is that this is an emissions recall which would only affect the US and probably won’t even affect Canada. I’m not positive tho

Can’t wait because my injectors are already dead and I’m rough idling for a long time, that really got my hopes up, patience is key tho🙌

For build dates 04/01/2007 through 11/30/2008 this would only apply to injectors with an index of -01 thru -07.
I dug up a service bulletin dated July 2013. It is also numbered 10E-A02.
Link to TSB http://www.worldpac.com/sdmedia/TSB/...r-Indexing.pdf

Here is what is says,
5. IMPORTANT:
Injectors with P/N 13 53 7 585 261 04-08 index are not affected by this Service Action and should not be replaced.
Injectors with PN/index 13 53 7 537 317-xx or 13 53 7 565 138-01 up to 7 565 138-07 must be carefully removed in a sequential order (following REP13 53 310) and marked with the cylinder number.

A couple of things to keep in mind,
1. If your vehicle was covered by this older recall it may no longer be eligible.
2. If you have index -08 or greater, even though the vehicle has not been covered by a preceding recall, the dealer will send you on your way.

I believe my vehicle has been previously covered, built 07/2007 but has index -08, they were in when I bought the vehicle. I'll check with BMW-USA but I think I'm out of luck.
If my VIN will ultimately show an open recall for injectors, I will be buying a used set of index -07 or lesser, throw them in code it up and drive straight to the dealer with a confused look on my face.

I hope this works out for everyone with early N54s. This is a hot thread and for good reason. Early N54 injectors are a pain in the neck and expensive to replace!!

Lots of opinions and guessing on this. Just keep checking your vin number and see what happens. I hope everyone in those build dates that doesn't have index 12 injectors gets them and the people who paid for them get reimbursed.

This seems fishy to say the least so I've noticed over the years they never do injector recalls for pre 07 builds why is that? Mine has a build date of 02/07 are the index 1's not prone to leaks? I'm still on the original injectors, not that i'm asking for problems but they have been good for now but it would be nice to get a recall done lol.

Well SA just called me and it turns out that this is from 2011. Guess I’m going to have to garage my vehicle until I can buy new injectors ):
