I prefer a non-Nav car for esthetics and at 10+ years old, it’s quite outdated.

Buy and drive what you like. I ordered en e92 in the spec I wanted (N55, 6MT, M Sport etc..) and didn’t care for how large it was and moved on 3 years later. Bought an e82 in the same spec but N52 to replace it. I always loved wagons and 6 years (and 2 kids) after my e92 order I found one in the same spec I would have ordered.

When I was in the market my must have list was 6MT + RWD, color combo I like (no tan/gray interior), and xenons. Highly preferred no-nav and sport package. I held onto my e82 until I found one.

I still want a red car to do an m3 front end swap though...

I agree. I don't know why, and I do not own one, but red e91s really look great.

2008, white, RWD, auto, no nav, 100k miles

Ran VIN through decoder. According to mdecoder, this is not an M-Sport car. It left the factory with 161 rims.

it's a negative to me too. I hate idrive. The navigation is kind of OK for a backup of google, but the rest is terrible. And things that are really easy with the non-idrive version, like checking your oil level or resetting a clock, require going several levels deep into menus while driving. ugh.

Our X5 has a backup camera, which you'd think would be cool on such a huge vehicle - but it's totally pointless. Even after disabling the stupid startup nag messages, the 'don't use your camera to back up' takes up a huge portion of the visible area, plus the camera sucks in pretty much all light conditions. Most of the time I just turn the idrive off and use my mirrors..

I'm going to get the ball rolling here and post my E91 for sale. I am planning on moving to a new car in the springtime so I have plenty of time to sell. I'll get more photos in the coming days/weeks if we ever thaw out here.

2011 BMW 328xi - E91 xDrive - 6MT - $24k

Current mileage is 78k, will continue to go up slowly as its my only car between two of us, although I have a 2 mile commute. Car will be detailed before sale and I am happy to facilitate pickup, shipping, or anything I can do to move this to a good home. Clear title in hand, no liens. Car is in Northern VA.

I bought the previously 1-owner car from a Volvo dealer last fall at 66k miles. They had gone through the car and put on new brakes, ball joints, oil change, filters, and alignment. Since taking it on I've added the following mods:

- Sport seats & steering wheel, in the same Dakota Leather
- ZHP shift knob
- Glacier interior trim
- 3-stage intake manifold
- BPC Tune
- Silicon intake elbow
- Euro airbox (or US Airbox & AFE dry filter)
- BMW Performance Exhaust
- BMW style 193 wheels
- Trailer hitch (used for a bike rack, no towing)
- KW V1 coil-overs - installed with all new mounts, bushings, rubber, hardware, end links, etc.
- Syncro Design Works front thrust arms
- I have a UUC front swaybar on order, if it ever shows up that can be installed.

Since I've owned it I've down the following maintenance

- Serpentine belt tensioner
- Pilot Sport A/S 3+ tires
- Battery (Feb 2018)
- Eccentric Shaft/Valvetronic Sensor & valve cover gasket
- Oil change every 4-5k
- Trans, front & rear diff fluids
- Brake fluid
- Alignment w/ KW install
- All BMW recalls performed

I am probably forgetting something here, but its been maintained with an open checkbook for the most part, and no compromises made with any of the parts additions. Its currently

More photos to come soon -

I used to hate idrive. I first used it on a friend's CCC car a decade ago.
I've gotten used to it in my 2010 CIC, though I still find it clunky.
When I used it in a 2017 loaner, with idrive 6 and google maps/waze in dash through carplay, I finally feel like it is something I will use and enjoy... i'll have it installed one of these weeks.

As for me, I focus on the driving experience. All the extra electronic buzz are reminders of every day distractions. Driving is an escape for me.

I appreciate your truthful critique of the software options.

I find that trying to use maps on my phone is more distracting than on a built in screen. Anything to keep me from grabbing my physical phone.

And for a tech-free driving experience, I'll jump in my '02 TT and leave the phone at home
