As I have started to look into these units more seriously I have found that while PX5 units almost guarantee the desirable A7850 chip for good sound, there are also PX3 units that include the same. See this unit from a Golf below:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4-Co...7d3ea07a90024e What I have also found is that none of the units for the E90 that are PnP are PX5. This means one has to track down a PX3 unit which offers the A7850 chip. Making things more difficult, none of the PnP E90 units advertise having the A7850 chip. HOWEVER, as previously mentioned in this thread some do show output in line with what the A7850 chip (or similar) offers. I have contacted the manufacturer of the following unit to verify what chip it has (it advertises 4x50 output): https://www.belsee.com/belsee-8-8-in...cc-idrive.html I will update with their reply. This unit also includes a 1 yr warrantee and would be a great buy at the offering price if it can actually produce good sound. UPDATE: None of the E90 PNP OEM Type Units have an audio processing chip/amp (even though they say so on AliExpress!!). AVIN and the other units that look like AVIN that maintain OEM functionality all use the stock car amp through the AUX connection. Also, AVIN is releasing its new version of the E90 Unit which will run 7.1.1 in the coming weeks. This will hopefully solve the audio issues, and if not, it will at least be capable of running a DAC.

Looking forward to the 7.1 units, wouldn’t even consider one running 4.4. The OS is almost 5 years old at this point!
The specs are way too old to offer decent performance with current apps, and that’s assuming the app even runs on 4.4. |

I would recommend waiting for AVIN to release their version. The hardware will likely be the same across all the units but AVIN has been good about support and updates for their units. You likely will not get the same support from other vendors.

I was wondering if the dynamic parking lines work with the CCC.

MCU says GS, which means it's probably Xtrons as they use the same code for their stuff.

There's little doubt it's the same basic unit Avin will be selling. This is Android 7.1.1 with a 32G ROM and 2GB RAM. Double the specs of the AVIN. Unfortunately I never used the AVIN to compare, but overall this unit is solid. I'm prepping a more detailed write-up. I don't believe the 4.4 units will be able to update to the 7.1.1 ROM. |
