Nice comprehensive but easy to follow Wright up. Will certainly be following this when I come to do mine. Repped!

Ok. And if I understand correctly, a high side kit collects better under low/no boost, while the low collects more during high load/boost?

It's the other way around.

Also, the systems are completely separate; the efficacy of catching fluid on one side has no effect on the other.

Did mine last night. Any particular reason blue loctite was mentioned over red? I used the red loctite.

Ok, thanks. I would have no reason to take it apart again.

I just installed this last Thursday. The installation and results of the external PCV kit are impressive. my car feels a lot smoother under WOT and more responsive into boost. I will update with how much oil I catch after 1,000 miles.

You could, but it's a bad idea to use the "low flow" design on the high side.

Thanks for the reply. Guess I'll have an extra one. I should have read the whole thing before I ordered them.

Was there ever a final consensus on just plugging the low pressure side pcv and if thats a good solution?

It seems people did this in the past and just pushed all pcv through the high pressure side > OCC > rear turbo inlet pipe (which would be the vacuum source).

Installing this today on the GF's 08 535xiT. Mind you that this location is only a temporary install. The solid red lines are visible hose, checkered lines are where it's not visible. Seems no matter what routing I do without doing custom bracket will require removing the rear DCI to drain the catch can. Is this really what people are doing?
