Hey everyone, I have been slowly working on fixing all of what the previous owner ruined on my car. One of the things i realized when putting in the new outlets when I did the turbos was that there wasn't a connector that I could find for connecting the PCV system to my catch can. When we were doing the clutch a few weekends ago i found part 8 in this diagram (https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=13_1184) dangling in the engine bay.

What does it actually do? The only thing I see listed is that it is a heating element. I replaced the elbow I put in the PCV system with the newfound connector, but still no clue what i gained myself back by doing so, lol.

It does nothing. It's used for cold cold climates, but mine is disconnected and it doesn't even throw a soft code or hard code.

As soon as I saw "heater" in the description i figured it had to be something like that. Now I kinda wish I hadn't struggled to get it to fit into the catch can hosing, lol.
