Get healight warning light but then it goes away !!

I recently replaced by my headlight bulbs and all seems to have gone well.

But recently I noticed that sometimes when it gets dark enough, the headlights turn on automatically (adaptive) and I get a headlight warning (see image).

When I check the headlights, the driver side bulb is out.

But when I restart the car, both bulbs are on and no more warning ???

WTF is going on?

Is one of my bulbs just bad?

I ordered a new bulb.
Hopefully it’s just a faulty bulb.

Yup, happened to me.

Both my side markers are working, but due to old age they were about to die. Just enough juice left.

So when the computer checks the resistance, it will flag it as bulb out warning (even if they still work).

But why would a new bulb fail?
I had replaced both left & right bulbs

Maybe it’s defective or was damaged during shipping?
