m3 style 219 18" fit on 335 m-sport.

Hi, this has probably been answered on another post but I couldn't find it. I want to buy a set of M3 style 219s 18". Rims are 18x8.5 fronts and 9.5 rear with 245/40/18s in the front and 265/40/18s in the rear. Rear obviously needs fender rolling but i was just wondering if the fronts will rub with the 40 wall. Anyone tried it or has info let me know.

You should use the 219M wheels with the tires on your car now, the standard 3 series tires are smaller (sidewall).

That would be great but my front tires are bald plus the factory spec is a 225/40/19 in the front

For sure you'll rub on the rears because the profile size being a 40 and the aggressive offset. For the fronts I 'think' you might be able to get away with it. Are you on a lowered suspension by any chance?

Tires won't fit, but the wheels will. I ran 18x9.5et22 on my E92, which is just about the same size as the 219's 18x9.5et23.

You will need new tires for front and rear, I recommend 235/40/18 in front and 265/35/18 in rear. You will definitely need to roll fenders, but even then you might still rub since the stock suspension is pretty lofty and has a lot of suspension travel.

Thanks for the knowledge but the only reason I wanted them is b/c someone local was selling them with decent Pilot SS for dirt cheap. Guess Ill have to skip on it.

Stock rears are 255/30/19

265/40/18 is much bigger

Most people get away just fine with 245/40/18 (including myself a while back), you'll probably have very slight rubbing on full lock which isn't a big deal.

Depending how much tread is left, you could sell the tires on the M3 forums to recoup some of the cost.

I could but its too much hassle to sell those and get 35 walls for the back. Front is 8/10 back is 4/10. I don't like the look of the style 219m's enough to run them on a 335i. Only reason I was interested was b/c of the price and the tires.

Ya isn't worth the hassle I'll just look elsewhere for rims. Plus e90 clearance is better then E92 no? Your car would have less issues running that wide over mine.
