My serpentine belt last all of 8 days

I lost my serpentine belt on 29 Oct so I replaced it on the 30th.
Today just after leaving out of my work's parking lot, I lost power steering. I stopped and lifted the hood to see another shredded serpentine belt.

Seriously, what could have caused this?

Check your power steering pulley. Most likely a piece broken off if all other pulleys/idlers up top are fine.

Power steering mounting bolt on oil pan loose or missing? Tensioner?

The above, plus check motor mounts/pulley clearance. When motor mounts sink, the belt/pulley can contact the subframe and will continue to shred belts. If neither belt was sucked through the front main seal either time, count yourself extremely lucky and fix the problem before installing another. Replace the tensioner with the belt if you haven't, check that all pulley bolts are tight and that the pulleys are in alignment.

I was able to get a new belt tonight but I had to order the tensioner. The tensioner won't be here until Monday. Tomorrow will check for everything that has been mentioned here.

Note: From what I can see, the belt is still intact but it is missing a rib.

That means is walking away. My bet is on the power steering pump mounting bolt that goes into the oil pan. Either completely gone or loose.

The left idler pulley does not rotate when I roll it. Could this have caused my belt to shred?

I cannot get the embeded video to play.

Use the link at the bottom of the post to go to youtube to watch the short vid. No idea why it wont play here. The left idler pulley does not rotate freely.

it probably has belt pieces stuck behind it that why it doens't spin. I would recommend taking everything off and check the bracket as suggested.

+1 I had a sizable chunk of the PS pulley missing in the back toward the engine. The pulley itself was tight, pump mounting bolts to engine were not.
