Had no iDrive to start with and I always wanted CiC when i first started driving. IMO I feel that CiC is very good for its age, its even as good as some nav systems that are out today.

Im about $500 in now for the complete package counting everything together

Removing the Interior and the Dash had to be the easiest thing in the world, putting it back together was a PIA, it just takes a lot of time.



My car was prewired for satellite radio so i just used a 5m fakra extension for that antenna same thing for the GPS. For my non idrive harness to power the screen and Controller, my junction box had Pin 1 empty and Pin 37 occupied. I was able to power CiC with 37 but I would lose KILMA Power, so when I Plugged into Pin 1 I got power. Took some trial and error to learn fstools easily but once u read the instructions its very simple. Nice thing also my CiC has a siriusXM subscription!.

Also for sure update navi to 2020 Maps its very good, its just as good as Google Maps. Also for all my Galaxy S10 people I can not get the phone to be recognized for BMW APPS but iPhone 100$ works.

routing USB cable and AUX rewire to Combox was a pain as well as its very hard to pull the cables through the carpet to be able to get the wires to the center console area

How did you know that your E90 already had satellite radio?
I'm starting this retrofit too, but I have some doubts.

Hi, looks great! Ive done the idrive retrofit also and was wondering if the idrive screen should show the check control info like low oil, low screen wash etc?? I only still get these on the dash like previous. Any info is much appreciated.
