Im sure that will free up another 15 - 25 more hp to the wheels
Bob, is there any advantage to running a larger MAF with new piping? I have a few ideas in this department, MAF or no MAF.....

I have been thinking about this too. I'd like to see a molded plastic intake made vice fabbing an aluminum or steel elbow although aluminum is likely the only way to make this on such a small scale.

Unfortunately, it wouldnt be a one size fits all since the stock turbo, hybrids with modified compressor and Bohl hybrids all use slightly different compressor wheels and the inlets are different sizes.

I'd like to have something larger than the stock elbow but that retains the stock like design and fitment. The addition of a larger MAF is also attractive.

At those kind of boost/power levels I'd think you'd want a speed density tune. Get rid of the MAF all together and make a custom TIP with no restrictions.

Or you just have the inlet to the LP turbo go over the inlet housing and then make a billet insert to match the ID of the inlet housing. Then you could vary the inlet insert Id to match different compressor wheel dia.

Hello, i am reading this Topic for a while and its really interesting! I ve got a E61 530d LCI and powered it up to smokeless 289hp with dpf delete only. Now my Tuner said the next step ist modifing the intercooler and exhaust. Yesterday i installed the Wagner Intercooler. I don´t know what to do with the exhaust. Maybe i cut open the middle muffler and weld in a pipe with holes (Absorption muffler)
Whats now the best Adress to get a costume made Turbo in Europe? And how many Maximum PS should i aim for if i don´t want to lose too much Torque in the bottom. (400NM at 1500 Rpm and 611 max at 2000 Rpm right now) 0-60mph in real 6,4 seconds with full fuel tank.
I am not afraid to get a cp3 r90 pump if neccesary.

Sry for my english :-)

Hello guys

I would like your opinion, if you have any

Want to do hybrids very soon amd my question is from which one to get them ???

First choice :

Ecotune uk. They have a package tune to go with them but o dont know specs fpr the turbos
https://ecotune-scotland.co.uk/produ...-stage-iii-kit

Second choice :

http://www.proturbo.fi/index_en.htm

Proturbo FI. I contacted them but was hard getting in a conversation via email with them. Its the same turbos that some of you use i think.

Third choice :

Turbosystems.info

https://www.turbosystems.info/produc...bochargers-kit

They were suggested to me by some guys and said they were good.
And they the only to give specs as far as what they do to the turbos.

Fourth choice :

https://www.turbodynamics.co.uk/

Any input would be great.

Thanks

ProTurbo out of Finland or TurboSystems out of Lithuania. Also depends where you are. If Europe that makes sense. If US then there are a few other options.

I'm using another company in Finland that makes similar turbos.
They are very polite and will respond on facebook within few hours.

I have had my turbo for my 530D made there, which made around 400ps.

As we speak, they have my turbos from a 35d in for modification as well

How many km did you drive in it? And did you have any problems related to the tune? Manual or aut gear?

Single vgt can’t compete with the current hybrids available. We don’t have the displacement or the RPMs to spool a big single turbo effectively and a single turbo we could spool wouldn’t perform up top. There’s a reason why BMW chose to run two turbos.
