As previously mentioned I have a lot of info and pictures on my SS thread. File attachments aren't working for me right now on here so let me figure out how to host some of these photos for those of you who aren't on SS.

It seems everyone is clear that this is not a stock manifold, right? Has everyone seen the nice cutaway of the stock turbofold that Speedtech posted a while ago? It's insane.

I've completed dyno'ing the car with the current setup (11 135i, DCT, PS2, PFS PI, Injen Intake, custom 3" inlet w/ VS adapter, VRSF 7.5" race IC, VRSF outlet, VS stage 2.5 bucketless DW400, full magnaflow exhaust, catless DP, S55 flywheel, n20 plugs at .022, full 3: upper and lower chargepipes, E54 fuel, 22-23psi at 11.5* timing). The car made 475whp/475wtq on a dynojet at AZ Dyno Chip.

The VTT kit gets you a plug and play kit, with a cast manifold that removes the stock restrictions, a stainless turbine housing that removes the stock restrictions, a genuine Garrett GTX3076R, and a new pneumatic actuator that is pre-adjusted (can't tell you how much time I've spent with people trying to get their oem actuator adjusted correctly).

As far as the tuning, yes I do a ton of XDF development but to say that no one else will have the required tables is false. I work with MHD and all the reputable tuners and share info. I don't just blast untested tables out there for a couple reasons, 1. they are untested and I don't want someone to blow up their engine, 2. EMP, RFP, etc.

New kit will be installed this weekend. Hope to have first impressions the beginning of the week.
How about those results?

From our Tester:

Time for an update. I know its been a while, January ended up being super busy for me at work. I've been in CT for most of the time since the holidays. The kit fits great, installs like stock including the lines which obviously had to be changed to support the Garrett CHRA. Had some issues with the WG actuation which had me chasing my tail looking for a boost leak that wasn't there. Running 29psi to redline now and it feels great. Hope to get on the dyno within the next week or so. More info to come once I finish dialing in the tune and get dyno numbers. Sneak peak for now;

Chris quick question... is this an easier install compared to the typical hybrids since the turbo is removable from the manifold? I currently have a pure stage one and am debating on getting the VTT GC or speedtech kit for my 2012 n55. the GC seems like it would be a lot easier install. I am looking for somewhere in the neighborhood of 580whp. thank you for any information.

You still need to pull the stock manifold off and put the VTT manifold on

yeah, i know thats its not like the stage 1 where i just replace the compressor side. i was just wondering if they install it in one piece or if taking them apart and installing the manifold then turbo is easier.

i was under my car a few weeks ago replacing the water pump (which was actually pretty easy) but looking at the turbo it looks tight as hell to get all that out.

I think this manifold would be easier to install just based on its design. I'm not sure that installing them separately would be any easier than installing them as a unit. Maybe on a xdrive car but I haven't worked on that side of the engine on a xdrive car yet.

My guess is if it was worth writing about it would have been written about already... Especially considering VTT isn't shy about shouting "World Record" from every roof top available. I was counting on this kit being the "most power from an OEM-style downpipe on a N55 World Record."

That's exactly what is having me shy away at the moment... I figured that if the tester had it on already we would have some results. I messaged Chris on here stating if they needed a test car I would bring mine to them and let them dyno it there. but I haven't heard back yet. might just have to go with the speedtech kit I guess. it would have just been nice to use all of the parts I have now... pure inlet, injen intake and vrsf downpipe. guess I could just put them up for sale.

Like I said months ago... If the results were worth talking about you know VTT would have been talking about them already. Proven results available NOW from BigBoost and Speedtech.

Of the non-existent product? There is nothing to search for on this turbo since it hasn't been released.

You Diffstick, I guess it didn't occurr to you that the guy you trolled might have already done a search, and came to this thread hoping that someone else might have an answer. BTW, I am no troll. I just browse for future reference. I merely called out someone that was trolling someone. Guys like you are a real joy to work with.
