Good to hear, haven't done as many miles as you but I took have no interest in swapping the 335 for anything else....Infact I wouldn't even consider a M3 as an upgrade, more like a sideways move, which doesn't make sense since it'll cost a out £40k for me to swap the 335i for a new M3

Steve at A1 noticed my radiator has a small leak, which means a new radiator....but I'm trying my hardest now to resist getting the extra water radiator fitted that comes with the BMW official 335 power kit. It's the same kit fitted to the 1M, and if I'm needing to get the coolant system drained for a new radiator it makes sense to get this kit done at the same time....Man maths, I love it

I'm in a similar situation. Coming up to 80k and I can't think of a better allround car to replace my E90 with. I don't see an M3 as an upgrade as I don't track.
The "more power bug" has me well bitten though. I'm holding out for the RB stage 3's. Hoping the intakes can be modified to fit our RHD.
Obviously this will mean ditching the extended warranty. But could bring 650bhp+

Repairs on the car outside of warranty really isnt that expensive. Nearly all the issues are well documented, so actually very easy to work out what parts are needed. Ive done all the below out of warranty.

1:Electric water pump replacement
2: Autobox sleeve leak
3: High pressure fuel pump replacement
4: Oil filter gasket leak
5: Main water radiator leak

Total ALL IN cost is around £3K for that lot, so over 4 years of ownership about £70/month, which really isnt that bad. It's flown through 4 MOTs now with not even an advisor note.

By far the biggest cost is mods.....the numbers of mods/retrofits etc you can do to these cars just seem endless ....Still its cheaper than swapping cars, given that my 335i has pretty much stopped depreciating I can now justify more £££ to be spent on mods. Cannot justify hybrid turbos though, however if my car was to develop a wastegate rattle, or any other turbo releated issue that'll enough reason for me to get some RB units...So come on wastegates, your suppose to fail at some point

I'm in the same boat regarding stage 3s and that intake system, I'd love that Motiv 750 though with the added fueling kit, it's a work of art.

I'm still on the sub 60k warranty cost. I think it's about £46 p/m. I have only had to use it once (new turbos). I work long days and don't have the time to sort any problems. The beauty of the warranty is, I call them up and they bring the car back when it's fixed (in theory).
It's limiting what I can do with regards to mods though. So I have accepted that the next step will result in me losing the warranty and committing to keeping the car.

That it is. No way it will go on our RHD cars though. If you are considering a single you would have to go top mount.
The RB 3's look to use stock sized housings, so I'm hoping a bit of modification on the intake piping will get them on RHD. I will be going for the Burger supplemental fueling kit. The MoTiv one is a work of art but is a lot of money and hard to justify when you compare it to the Burger kit.

With the upkeep costs of an M3 and the mileage you seem to be doing and the ///M modding tax I'd stick with the 335i for sure. Mine is a proper long term keeper and I'm gonna mod the hell out of it over time.

Ah LCI rears. Nice upgrade. Think on every BM I've owned I've done the rear lights and for me the best mod for the exterior to just freshen up the rear no end.

How many miles as that's pretty crazy getting through a pair of tyres in that time.

Car is booked in again Friday, wheel bearing , its making a horrible noise like its lost its grease. My mechanic thinks that maybe the route of my vibration issues this whole time.

Feckin hope so !

On a positive note , dropped my boss off to get 2 tyres fitted to his Frozen Edition M3 today and rinsed him on the journey there and when we picked it up.

There goes my payrise and bonus
