OK - that is not even remotely embarrassing as I alluded to above. The 2.3-16 or the even more desirable baby hammer are legitimately awesome cars. Hell even a run of the mill 190 is vintage fun.

Reading and listening, not to mention comprehending, are no longer core skills.

So, ya'll WOULDN'T be embarrassed to own this?

I know why the thread was made...

There's several reasons why I haven't owned a 190.

I agree that the picture I posed looks awesome and aggressive, but it's still a MERC.

Man, all this time I've had no where to turn about my embarrassing choice of cars to lust after. Finally somewhere to admit to loving this horrible thing!

They only built 57, probably because they didn't want to inflict too much embarrassment on the poor fools that bought them.

No P-Car should be admitted to this thread under any circumstances.

OK, maybe the 924 ... and, in cases, the 914. But that's it!

Mine was meant as utter sarcasm, a 993 GT2 just sold for $2.4M.

Design wise (not actual mechanics) I greatly prefer the 924 to the 944 and 968. If I fit, I'd actually really love a 914-6.

The only embarrassing P Car is the Humpback of Panamera. Awful to look at.

Come on those 914s are fun and funky and never got their due.

As I told an attractive female Porsche marketing rep at the NYC black tie car show preview, the Panamera is akin to fucking a fat chick. Gross to look at but once you get inside it can be fun if you smack it around like the ho that it is. Her boss overheard and asked me to leave, she giggled and asked for my number.

That said the new wagon is straight sexy.

I don't know if embarrassed is the right word but my opinion changed completely after seeing and inspecting the new Type-R Civic... I love the crazy styling, the red trim and the utility. It's also rather large in size, you think Civic and you think small but this is a big car.

I love it. Never thought I would ever say that.

The Civic Type R is uglier than the Juke; and that's saying a lot...

Please don't mention the 924. Those that drive those think they are driving a Porsche, but really they are driving a piece of junk that is headed to the wrecking yard with, or without, the driver, (ask me how I know). Now that, would be an embarassment to claim to like that pos. That car nickeled-and-dimed me until I happily got rid of it. Now the 914-6, I always admired those.

I would love to own a Civic Type-R. As astonishing as it may seem, I was seriously considering it before getting the M4. Yes it is unforgettably gaudy, yes I suspect it might have "Fast and Furious" logos painted all over it in paint that's only invisible under IR light, and yes driving one might make me appear so JDM that others might expect me to only sleep on the right side of my bed, BUT I FUCKING LOVE THAT CAR.

I guess the only good thing about the new Type-R looks is that no matter how hard you try you cannot possibly make it any uglier than it already is.
Historically, you could easily make them look like shit by installing all sorts of half-baked "aero-kits", oversized fart-cans and enormous wings and such... but this time around it comes with all of it stock.
Wow.
So yeah, that is pretty embarrassing.
It honestly reminds me of this (Pontiac Aztec if you cannot tell)

BEM-S4 @Red Bread

914-6 aside (Who wouldn't want one of those?), I have a harder embarrasing crush on this car than a 914:

Does this mean I'm a severely disturbed individual?

Now we're getting somewhere! X1/9s are nearly as bad an idea as the Merak. I've nearly bought one twice now.

I also nearly fell for a Jalpa a few years ago but thankfully came to my senses.
