Look for Torx security sockets. I don't think that's an original bolt, some one must have put that on there.

That's not original. Should be a basic Allen head bolt.

That bolt should be on the bracket for eccentric shaft motor, not the engine acoustic cover.. see if maybe someone mixed them up. For the record those bolts should never be removed...

Is there a difference between the eccentric shaft sensor and the eccentric shaft motor? when i google the motor version i only get results for the sensor that is located under the valve cover. That sensor appears to just have 3 regular bolts on it.

Also what happens if the bolt is removed?

The reason why im extra curious where the bolt is from is because im having a high pitched engine noise & if i can figure out where the last person was by this bolt, i could see if they did something incorrectly.

There are three bolts that hold the valvetronic motor(eccentric shaft motor) . The bolt on the bottom of the motor goes into a bracket. That bracket it attached to the valve cover with those bolts.

Most likely unrelated to your noise.
