Thanks for your prompt reply. "The numbers are listed on top of the injectors" do you mean looking at the physical injectors? What I like to know is whether or not I could using the INPA to gather the injectors part number like (press F2?) where I know ahead of time and preparing what type of injectors needed to replace or so...thanks.

I'm only aware of physically verifying the numbers by looking at the injectors.

I want to update the transmission software. I have install the tool 2.12 and done all the job following your install instructions. But I do not know which ecu is for transmission, even I checked the UIF in INPA, it did not tell me JBBF, MER, EKP, EGS,,,,,, which is which. I just ignore it and go to the winpfk, and click update ZUSB, randomly select one, it shows the error 106, Error on setting ECU-ADDRESS. If I click Enter ZUSB, and input any ZB number I found at UIF, it shows the error 704, Error on determining the ZB number! Code 3000, 995065.
Any help?

For that, you're looking for GKE****. See which module your UIF for EGS pulls up, that's the one...

Thank you. I checked in INPA and found the EGS ZB no. is 7564084. However, I go to the EC-APP>NFS>DATA>GKE211 I found A7564083, the next is 7564087, there is no 7564084.

Before I saw your reply, I tried the GKE233, update in WinKFP. It showed ECU>ZBNr from UIF XXXXXX to 7572903. After update, there are Brake, ABS, 4X4 lights on. I also tried the GKE211, the same information, Brake, ABS, 4X4 lights on off, then light again. Drive the car outside for few minutes, the transmission jerk from 2nd to 1st gear still exists. So sad.

I can see GKE 211, GKE 233 .... Should I update all of them?
If not, where is the problem? Thank you.

Using WinKFP in comfort mode, enter your original ZUSB and see which module it picks. Then go to update ZUSB, then select the module it just showed you. That will update you to the latest version.

It said cannot determine the ZUSB. I checked, there is no 7564084 in GKE list (all verisions). I updated the GKE211 to the latest version. Transmission problem still exists. I also updated DSC, VGSG.

Today, I checked the error, cleared and read again, there are errors show under these three ECU (EGS, DSC, VGSG). I also got ABS/Brake/4X4 lights on.

Is the V57 not for 2006 325XI?

In this case you'll need to open the .his file for each of the GKE*** versions until you find that specific ZB, as I'm sure the DATEN version you're currently running has an update. The .his file will show you the updated number.

Yes. You just can't flash some of the modules while car is running.

Yes, 57.0. Look in your C:\E89\data\GKE211\GKE211.HIS. Open the .his file with notepad and use the find function. Should look exactly like my screen shot. Your old ZB doesn't show in WinKFP but the updated one, ZB# 7572903 shows. Comfort mode. choose ZUSB, pick GKE211, scroll through ZB #s and it's there.

E89 Daten Request

wildcatcrazy your coding DIY is awesome! I really appreciate the time you took to create it.

Could you pm me the most recent daten files for e89? I'm rocking a 2007 e90. I tried your .txt link to the Mega site but the download never seemed to work.

Thanks!

I also use a MBP, I recommend just using Chrome itself or finding a torrent. I haven't had any issues downloading using Chrome in lieu of Safari on my MacBook, and then transfer the files over to my Parallels VM to use.

Try this one, I've hosted it on another server, but it doesn't include the install instructions yet.

Thx, wildcat. It finally finished. Appreciate all the work you do in helping out the community with this. Is the v.57 Daten available anywhere else? Mega says it is "to big to reliably transfer" for the E89 file.
