E92 trim swap from wood pin issue

My E92's wooden interior is finally getting swapped for this really beautiful trim, I think it's called glacier silver. Definitely not what you see every day here. I've got the whole rear of the cars trim swapped, now comes the tricky part. I'm doing the front doors long trim pieces, and it uses metal poles on the trim to go in (like my wooden trim), and it's missing this metal pole/bolt on the last place where it goes, no biggie. I just take the metal pin off my wooden trim since they're literally identical. I try putting it in and with all the force I can, the pin slides onto the trim half way before getting stuck. What gives?

These are the pins i'm talking about:

Some were already on the glacier silver trim, except for the last one on the edge of the trim, on both of the front door trims.

Here's a pic of my exact trim and where the pin is missing where it gets stuck halfway and won't slide in:

You are in the USA, so shipping and all should be good.

nevermind. I just said to hell with it and put the trim on the door with the last pin half way in. It fit perfectly fine, looks 100x better than wood to be completely honest!

Post some pictures when you can.
I too hate wood trims.
To me, it makes it look like some old room fit for old people playing poker, and smoking cigars.

I'll definitely post some pics when it's all done. I was missing a pin on the new dash trim so I had to order it which should be here by Wednesday. The trim makes a huge difference compared to the wood, also looks a lot better than the typical brushed aluminum. I'll be doing the center console trim tomorrow.

I just finished installing the last trim piece last night, I snapped some quick pics (they're not the best especially since it was dark out, but i'll get better pics when I can)
Only downside to this is that it's legitimate aluminum like the brushed aluminum trim so this also gets nicked and scratched up.
Next thing I have to do to this car is fix it's horrible base stereo, the Alpine HIFI kit seems like a good option for starters, that plus Logic 7 underseat subs and It should sound 100x better
