I know why - because CobraMarty isn't a "Vendor" and was advertising and selling products here. I spoke to him through email, and he'll be active on other BMW sites (he still has plenty of product left) but I do feel for the guy. He's not a shop and I can't imagine he's making much off of these parts.

It's a pretty amazing idea that he came up with, and even more amazing that it works. I hope to be throwing in a set myself sometime soon.

I understand that running a forum isn't free - but don't kid yourself, this place isn't owned by an enthusiast. Clearly, people making/selling stuff for the community, when it's just a side job/hobby, aren't in the same category as a company like ECS Tuning when it comes to being a 'Vendor'. But whatever big faceless corporation that runs this site doesn't see it that way.

The same thing happened to bimmergeeks. It's the same reason you can't write 'm0dbargains' or '[Admin Notified]' without being censored (replace 0 with o, and remove the *******.

Right? it's one of the only bolt-on mods for an N52 that's worth a damn. But you can post about cheap chinese intakes and coilovers all day long..

The politics of this forum are complete BS and ridiculous, it's why I detested it becoming popular in the height of the E90 era over the original BMW forums (you know which they are) that are drama-free.
