Catalytic Converter bylaw in Ontario?

someone once told me that Ontario had a bylaw regarding the catalytic converter on cars have to be good for 8 years or 130 000 km. does anyone have some information on this?

i would be more concerned with Drive Clean results....if you can pass emissions, then no worries............

i am only concered because i am looking at getting a used car and its looks kinda rusty.
its a 2005 mazda 3
