Wheel size is irrelevant, when you upgrade the size of your wheels you keep the overall diameter the same. There is an optical illusion that makes the gap look bigger with a set of 19s or 20s vs. the stock 17's/18's, but the actual gap is the same regardless.

the rear spring on the e-90 has to be compressed in the vehicle.

Changing the springs only does not provide the best performance. BMW OEM shocks are no different than any other OEM shock in terms of one thing: they were all designed to work with the springs that came with the car. Simple as that. Mileage has nothing to do with this fact, it just means that with a newer, less milage damper, the ill effects will be prolonged abit.
When any car manufacturer creates a "sport pack" suspension, it always includes revalved dampers to go with the slightly shorter and stiffer springs. So to do it right, it's no different for H&R or any other lowering springs. Full suspension doesn't just mean coilovers, it also means matching the aftermarket springs with proper dampers. Danny

I have been to a few site to get info on the Eiback Pro Kit and it is always just springs. I thought a "kit" would match springs with dampers.

What tire pressure are you using. Since I turned my Yellows to 1 turn front and rear, the ride has gotten a bit jarring on not so good roads. I am at 34 PSI, how about you?

Hey Fraggy, are you running one turn away from full soft? How difficult is it to adjust the dampness in the front and back?

The best way to go is to get the KW coilovers
Definately more money but well worth the adjustable functions plus lifetime warranty, never have to worry about paying for shocks ever again

ok, serious newbie question.....
i've always had american cars and this is my first BMW.....its an E92 with the sport package. now, i recently placed an order for the rims , they are 20s, so how should i go about lowering the car...i want the wheels to tuck inside underneath the fender, just like this picture. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...energie&page=3 any ideas? cornering/ handling is important to me, so if this helps, good.i don't wanna low ball the lowering, but nothing too out of range..... ps..i have no idea what a coilover is.... but i am planning on getting sway bars..... any and all help from the pros in this forum would be greatly appreciated. thanks Last edited by 335iheLLraiseR; 06-18-2007 at 10:40 PM.. Coilovers are height adjustable suspension system. Basically springs with matched shocks.
If designed properly, they would offer you very good handling where it is predictably. Sway bars help with the side to side motion. Your car will feel flatter. They are a big improvement. My suggestions is KW Variant 2 coilovers with H&R sway bars Got the front installed today & it feels great

V2s are rebound adjustable and the V3's are rebound and compression adjustable. We have the break down right on our site:
