Hey man,
I did a quick search and came aross 2 threads that might help you out as far as reseting the warning light.

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=42669
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=50536

And here is a post by a member explaining the reset procedure.

Hope this helps. Welcome to the Forum!!!

FWIW, I couldnt reset my light after 4 tries. Took it to the dealer and the system read "all four brakes need inspection". Id rather take it in and have it resolved than try covering up any problems by resetting the light.

Your brakes did not FAIL...you are using the wrong words...you got a low brake pad warning light..which most likely is a false reading since your car is so new. Just take it to Eric Diamond at Stevens Creek BMW on Stevens Creek Blvd..tell him Steve sent you. He will fix you up..and give you a nice Camry to drive..yummy.

Same thing happened to me. First time I took it to the dealer and they reset it. Just happened again yesterday and I reset the light myself. If it happens again I guess I will have to take it in again. Kind of annoying.
