Anyone know a shop that will pass you? No questions asked? SOcal btw
Hard to find these days.
Pay the registration, then get the smog done.
If you wait you pay late registration.

I found a few shops that would "look the other way", but you NEED to pass OBD-2 readiness

otherwise, it's $300 and they take your car "somewhere" for 2-4 hours... I decided to get mine to pass instead of handing it to somebody

I forgot to post back on my thread. But i was able to pass smog with FBO, full exhaust, everything. I just purchased the n54 DP bypass fix. Contact Andy here.

What's great about his product is that it comes with an on/off switch so you don't have to uninstall/install every other year.

$69 dollar DP fix + $40 for a smog. I passed the OBD2 for not having cats, and my car is low enough that they didn't bother to check for secondary cats. But i told them that i do have cats in the back haha.

My smog is overdue as well. I have catless DP's but tried using the O2 simulator. Still couldn't pass. At this point, I rather just pay and have them pass it. Please pm me if anyone knows of "smog" places in NorCal. Thanks.

Before... To be able to register the vehicle to the new owner, the car needs a passed smog certificate. Some exemptions apply.. Newer cars, and some others can't remember from the top of my head b

They no longer need to do sniffer test for newer vehicles so call around and find a station who only does OBD2 test.
