MP3 Song Title Display question

I dont know if its possible but... Can I change the default display for mp3 songs to title of song and artist?

Everytime I play a mp3 cd the display defaults to the word "Title" or "Track" number (i dont remember which) then I have to hit the title button twice to get artist and title of song.

Default display
"Title" or "Track"

Second option
"List of songs"

Third option
"Artist name and song title"

I guess the reason why they do that is u pay attention to the road instead of what song is playing.

I haven't gotten the MP3 update and are not familiar but this has been a problem with every other mp3 player I had in my previous cars.

I hope there is a way to set this in iDrive. It's rather annoying.

Do you have to set it everytime you enter the car or everytime you switch a cd or a song?

Everytime I enter the car. I never tried switching the cd. I have so many songs on one cd I hardly change it. Changing the song does'nt change the display.

BTW: that alpine white is SICK!

I see that you're from New York, when was your car built? Or did you get a software update? Do you have the 6Cd changer?

I dont know when it was built. I've been meaning to check. I picked it up over 2 months ago. It so happened that there was one available exactly the way I wanted it. No cd changer nor software update.

Oh wait, I noticed that you don't have Navigation. I'm still waiting for my upgrade :/

i really want the ID3 tags to be the default display too - looks so much cooler than the track number. For the record, the CIP19 software update does not change the stereos behaviour in this respect.
