Calling all d owners!! Ruff idle
So for the past month I've notice once in awhile when I start the car it idles ruff the needle will jump but settles after a few. This morning on the other hand I started the car and it was a violent idle the whole car started to shake felt like the engine was struggling to stay on and it stalled. After a few attempts still nothing same thing. On the last try I rev'ed it and kept my foot on the throttle to keep it from stalling and she settled. Turned it off and on again and back to normal. The car only has 17k on it and only thing Iv'ed done is add the jbd anyone have similar experiences? Or any ideas what it can be?

Haven't seen it, but I'd start by removing the JBD & seeing if it repeats. If it does (sans JBD) take her in to the dealer.

I was going to take it off as soon as i got home but since it didn't happen again i didn't. But it is the first thing that crossed my mind. I guess it being under warranty taking it to the dealer would be a no brainer.

Might have your dealer check if it stored a smooth running fault for one or more of the cylinders. I've had several injectors replaced after rough idle and SES lights.

If I take the car into the dealer ill have to use the can tool that came with the jbd. Wouldn't that delete all codes or just the ones related to the jbd if it has any.

Does the Can tool allow you to read the codes (if any are stored)? I would start there if possible - the codes might give you a good indication of what to suspect.

I believe it does but with the speedometer and blinking lights never used it. I'm going to check on how to use it.
