Combox Telematic vs Combox Media

hi guys,

i'm planning to upgrade my e93 with an combox. I know that there are 2 versions of it:

Combox Media vs Combox Telematic

I think i have the mulf + tcu option in my car (6FL & 6FN & SOS Button), so i need an combox media with a light cable bridge or a telematic version for my sos button.

The thing is: I dont need my sos button, i just wanna hear music over bluetooth.

So my question is: can i retrofit an combox telematic and code it to use like a comebox media? I doesn't need bmw apps aswell.

Comebox Telematic are on ebay way cheaper then comebox media

Thanks

i don't think so. I'm in the same boat with my e93. from what i gatheredwe need the BN2000 media and either make or buy a retrofit harness along with some coding.

Combox Telematic contains all of Combox Media so you'll be fine.

Just the telematic portion will not work because of the outdated cellular

I recently retrofitted a Combox Telematics using only the media portion.
Here’s my thread on it - hope it helps!

Keep in mind I’m in the US - the VO codes are probably a bit different given you have an EU spec car.
