Anyone ever try to cross the border from Tijuana to San Diego...you're gonna wait at least 2 hours (on a good day).

Its all about bureaucracy...it employs too many people and those at the top have a fiefdom to protect

There is no such thing as a European common culture, and there never will be. I love it here, but Dutchies are Dutchies, Tommies are Tommies, Jerries are Jerries and Frogs are still Frogs.... Period.

Our biggest threats:
-Merkel
-Islamism

Open your eyes.

Cheers
Robin

The company I work for has 5 U.S. manufacturing plants and 1 Mexican plant with a total of about 10% of the total capacity coming out of Mexico. Without being able to both build our products where we want in North America and sell them anywhere in North America it would drastically cut down on our overall sales and manufacturing jobs.

Not having free trade would allow our welders to go back to making socks and trinkets at minimum wage.

Two things -

1. I think it is a bad economic decision but from the beginning I have said I don't think it will be enough of one to cause us much of a problem because we really don't do much business with them on a worldwide scale.
2. Do you realize Brexit hasn't actually happened yet and they are still in the European Union? Only thing that has happened is the vote.

1 agreed. I actually think it will be a net positive as trade deals are put in place replacing the EU membership.
2 of course. But do you realize that that is meaningless with regard to the markets as the markets price in the expected outcome ahead of time? In this case, the expectations are it will take 2 yrs and new deals will be set minimizing the impact. Furthermore, I believe the other aspects of brexit should have positive effects in many ways including economically.
