PE Exhaust Mod

I found someone local willing to do the PE mod for me for a reasonable price under $300 (estimate).

Cost comes out to $275 but you have to bring the muffler/exhaust to him it does not include installation or any mechanical work also 2.5 inch pipes at auto zone are $15 bring two of those it comes out to $300 plus a days worth of work.

Call seven zero three 624 175nine

He is near 495/66 merger in Falls Church area.

Mention with the bmw referred you so he knows what type of work you need.

Also i didn't put back the insulation material back on the muffler and it sounds Great idk if it makes a difference or not but worth mentioning.

They quoted me $312.50 recently. To weld new tips is an additional $100.

I'm planning on getting it done next month after I pass my inspection and emission test. First time with catless dp's. I hope my go to guy wont give me any issues.

This is something I did on my son's E92 and would be willing to do it for you guys also. It is a pain in the ass welding that material but doable. I don't really want to mess with pulling the cans and remounting them but if you guys bring me the rear section I can do the mod for $250. PM me if you have any questions.

Sorry guys i have notifications off. Guy is local in Falls Church if you want to get it done the cheapest you can bring your own muffle and pipe (autozone) and he'll do it for a cheap price the more he does obviously the more it costs.

I'll post videos when it stops raining hopefully this weekend.

Thanks

It's really easy to do the majority of work yourself if you have a few tools. A Dremel with a sawzall will take care of the majority of the work. Head to any auto store to buy the small piped sections and just take it to someone to get the pipe welded along with the cover. I've had quotes from $50-$75 depending on the shop.

I'd do it myself if I could, but I don't have a garage and the HOA isn't a fan of me working on my car lol.

Might as well spend a bit of money then. I think the ~$300 quote involves raising the car, cutting the existing sections off, welding, and then mounting.

This cuts down the time by a considerable amount. $75 might be worth it to keep the HOA away.

Not to thread hijack but I have a pair of PE modded muffler available for sale if anyone wants em. I bought them from a member on here but never installed. I ended up getting a full vrsf exhaust instead
