E93 Driver Side Mirror Vibrate
Hi all,
My side-mirror on driver side vibrates, feels loose, and makes a lot of squeaky noises when driving on a bit rough surface. The side mirror on passenger side is tight and solid as it should be. I know the door on driver side inherently gets used more than the passenger side. Hence things can get vibrated and loosed over the year. Anyone has any experience with this and was able to solve it? Can you please share? I am looking for DIY of how to take the side mirror apart as well. |

I would check to make sure the mounting screws are tight. You can find videos on replacing the mirror, and they will show you how to access the screws. You basically just need to remove the tweeter speaker. This does not require removing the door panel. Lower the window and open the door. Lift up on the tweeter while pulling it towards the rear, away from the hood. The tweeter mounts on two of the mirror screws. The third screw is under the rubber gasket, you can access it by pulling up on the rubber gasket.
Really the only thing that would result in a loose mirror, is these screws being loose. |
