Clutch Options?

I am trying to find the cheapest clutch kit that I could run 700whp through. Options I have found are the spec stage 3+, 4, and 5. Running on a budget I would rather not have to pay over 700 dollars but I know that is a tough task. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Either Stage 3+ or go with a Twin Disc. At those power levels you need to pay to play. A clutch that can't handle the power won't do you any good.

Thanks Jeff. If I got a Twin Dist Clutch would there be any rattling noises?

No way around clutch "chatter," as above 500 whp the car is racecar. Raising the idle to > 900 RPMs may minimize chatter, but likely will not eliminate it entirely

Ok Thanks for the input. So is the spec stage 3+ the cheapest option for me?

As the other poster said, only way to avoid SMFW rattle is to up your idle. It will reduce a substantial amount of the noise.

3+ would be the least expensive/most practical drivability. It's good for 671 Torque.

Someone posted a link to buy the stage 4 which holds more and is significant cheaper BUT...the engagement is trash as it's a true 6-puck and their ads definitely says not ok for street/daily driving.

A number of single turbo owners run the stg2+ b/c the low-rpm torque doesn't exist with their tune so they can get away with less. As I have upgraded twins and love my torque by 3k, I've been looking over this same question and am saving up for a spec/motiv twin disc over the spec3+. Also, you'll want/need a steel smfw from mfactory.

OP made some thread about Stage 4.

Stage 4, nobody will want that thing.

I prefer to recommend the Spec Flywheel only because it will then be offered with a sprung clutch option..
