LOL, to Dan and Wil, you guys are such horsepower freak, hahahaha. im not gonna do any more power mod until my special cooling plan is done. how does a double core oil cooler system sounds to you guys? =) i believe the total surface area of the 2 cores add up might be as big as a radiator core, hahahaha. no more than 230F oil temp under extreme condition is my goal, still working the plan out with IPB. after that, i don't think i'll have to keep my eyes on the oil temp gauge at all about worrying high oil temp with tons of WOT.

Just got back from LA/bimmerfest. Was pretty cool, finally got to see an M1.
Ran into a pretty modified 328 on the way down at 10pm ish on I5. He/she obviously didn't have a radar detector. When i slowed down and went into the right lane, he thought it was a good time to pass and gun it past me. Cop followed and ended up passing him and didn't pull him over. Clearly scared him as he dropped to 70 mph and stayed that way. A few days of LA traffic makes me appreciate living up north a bit more. |

What's up guys. Been a member for a few months now and finally found this thread and wanted to just say hello to everyone on here. I currently own an 08 335i e90 AW. Haven't done much to it yet besides wheels, black grills, and tint. I'm still doing some more reading before I decide to do any performance mods. I live in Elk Grove and hopefully will get a chance to meet some local members and possibly get some advice with future mods.

Eric read this thread before you start doing oil coolers, some brands are not getting very good results:

I forget, where's the closest place to get race gas? Last time I filled up before I left home.

Oh shit don't pull me over Saw you guys jacking up some dude yesterday by the Fire Dep on the main road.
Sac Raceway was fun last night, 3 of us out there holding our own against the domestics and ricers. I was happy for my first time this year. Crappy 91 pump gas, bad tires, no LSD, and a horrible 60' launch of 2.2 still ended up running 12.7 @ 111mph. Ok, I know bad ET but my trap was sick, the meth (only 50/50) and FBO's helped. I think I could have been in the low 12's if that launch was 1.9ish with my current setup. I know I can do low 12's if I added race gas, and high 11's if I had DR's on. The other 335i ran a 13.1 with a JB4 + 100 race gas, intake, and DP's.

I'm going to try and go once a month now. I'll be at Infineon on July 2 for Hyperdrive Only 3 335's there last night, all my buddies. It was fun beating up on those 500+ hp rustangs. Just goes to show, lots of hp + massive burn outs does not equal fast cars

what times were you getting when you were stock? Ive only gone racing once and I was dissapointed in my time slip granted i didnt air out my tires to 25psi (like people were telling me too) or warm them up, and had a full tank of gas (I wasnt planing on going, which was why I filled up the night before, but since my friends were all going I figured what the heck) I ran a few times, my best was 14.004... my mate said it wasnt too bad for the first time, but still I felt like it was a bit too slow for a 335i (even with a full tank)

i heard Sac raceway didn't calibrate their track right? Wil remember last time when Mr. 5 came, he said the numbers are way off? did they fix that issue yet?
