Get camaross' kit. I have it and it looks phenomenal. I did a review about 6 months ago if you want to take a look. Running very strong 6 months later.

The LUX H8 is fully visible during the day and is pure white... for the e92, it's completely plug and play.

I always think it is commical how some misinformed people make such foolish comments on HID halos. First let me say, that LUX are a fantastic solution and mds82 is one of the best vendors on this forum bar none. I tested both first hand and took extensive pictures of both side by side. The bottom line is that LUX and HIDs are the single best solutions on the market and it will come down to your personal preference. Here is what the HIDs look like:
Choose what meets your needs best and don't listen to all the of the comments from misinformed people. I am not here to sell you anything, so all I offer is an unbiased opinion. |

I've seen the HID angel eyes on a E92 driving towards me (a couple of different times) and the inner ring looks like a blob of light and doesn't look right. As others said, too much light that's concentrated in the inner ring.
As for the LUX H8, I have those in my car. Aside from the other issues that I'm having with them, the light is even looking when you look at the car driving towards you. The only other gripe I have about them is they are a 6000K color. While they look very white with a hint of blue, they really don't match the factory HID headlights as the rings look too blue (I noticed this today while driving in traffic this morning behind a few black trucks with clean reflecting tailgates, in an overcast morning). I just wish they were more 'white' looking and matched the factory headlights better. |

Thanks. Like I said, just don't listen to uninformed people on HID versus LUX. Both are fantastic options. HID is brighter if that is what you want, LUX is just less light output but much more light than things like RD. You have to decide how dramatic and bright you want. In my opinion, they both have their customers. There is no need to bash one or the other because both are great choices.

You also have to look at the price premium you're paying for HID over LUX.
I have LUX 5.0 for e90 and love them. Although I personally think the price on them are a bit steep; I got a good deal from a member who had a spare set. Regardless, sure HID are bright as hell, but the cost just doesn't justify it for me. If Halo lights are that important to you, by all means, spend the money on HID. Some people can just "through it in the bag" .

Thats pretty expensive considering you can get an HID kit for like $150 maybe even less. Yes some HID brands are crap but for the Angel eyes only, I don;t think you need an expensive HID. Since it doesnt really light up the road.
Its funny how some ppl think that HID is too bright yet everyone wants their Angel eyes to be very visible during the day. Ppl manufacturing LED Angel Eyes are trying to get it as bright as possible lol. However the LED ones are less hassle thats a big thing. |
