£100m to help fix Britains Roads

Somehow I don't think that's enough, maybe enough for the town I live in but the rest of you are buggered.

Most of that will go to paying Sub Contractors to work on Sunday, at £60 an hour.

£100m is definitely not enough then. The road here are shocking.

Not that clever here Chris, we suffer one of the highest amount of HGV's passing through, in the UK. Annoying thing is, had they been maintained with motorist taxes in the past, they wouldn't have broken up so bad

That's quite surprising if you think about it. We are an Island so it's not like the trucks pass through to get to other countries.

But you're right, not enough spent in the past and now it's too little too late.

I'm amazed at how they never fix the things properly when they do get round to doing the job. The north side of the Clyde tunnel at Glasgow was closed for 2 weeks starting on 13 February for resurfacing work and already, just over a month later it's like bloody moon base alpha again.

HGV's do pay road tax, our artic's are £1200 a pop and swallow 600 ltrs of the Dirty stuff every 4 days. 100 mill isn't anywhere near enough.

What they should do is charge HGV's that come from Europe with long endurance fuel tanks they don't spend a penny while they are here and they just trash our roads.

I'm confused. I pay the council handsomely for this already?

Fixing potholes isn't an 'extra' service.

kent alone is short of £150 million so the rest of the country will have go whistle, like the 1p off fuel they must be joking, they can still find endless millions to go round destroying half the middle east then pay to rebuild it!
