Looking to restore my 330Xi
I've got an '06 330Xi with considerable mileage on it. I've been looking through the codes and stuff and it had 3 misfires, potentially a dropped valve on cylinder 6, and i'm giving up on the block completely after about 200k miles on it. I'm thinking about purchasing an engine, so I've hit up SW engines in the US. I'm not sure if they're reputable so if anyone has info on that that would be dope. Any tips on engine replacements would be much appreciated, as google only seems to be a savior when it comes to mundane information.

What's your budget? I've seen N52s go for around $2k USD, depends on the mileage and condition of car it was pulled from too.

you're talking motor swap for potentially dropped valve?
Have you compression tested it? borescope? Seems drastic just because it has 200K on it. If it's serviceable, run it. |

compression on cylinder 6 is nonexistent, but no borescope. don't think its worth it honestly. 3 misfires at the same time, engine shake because no balanced forces. not like dropping a lot of money on a rebuild is worth it with this engine, especially if i can just get another one from a wrecked chassy.
