electronics geeks, help me wire this garage door opener

i know some of you out there have crazy electronics skills...so help me out please.

attached are the photos. basically i need to know where to solder a wire to connect these. if you need a bigger photo so you can explain where to solder i can provide one asap.

this is the clicker i have

this is the button i bought(top and bottom view in case you need to read the specs)

inside of the clicker(side with the buttons on it)

inside of the clicker (reverse side)

It looks like button 3 is the one that opens the garage door. Am I correct? or am I interpreting the diagram wrong?

You'll want to solder a wire to each of the pins I highlighted. These wire should then connect to position 1 and 2 (or 2 and 3) on the switch. You should make sure that the switch that you have is a pushbutton switch (ala the buttons on the circuit board), not a toggle (i.e. like the buttons on clicky pens)
