I'll have to research about the the PROcede. I think I can just do valet mode and it should be fine, if not I can always take it off and meet you up!

What gear did they use to calibrate and make your pulls? 4th gear is the closest to 1:1 that we have on our Steptronic autos.

Edit: Didn't try a pull on Map 7?

I'm pretty sure he used 3rd gear...how would that affect the numbers?

No, I didn't want to risk going up to map 7...

I've never used a Mustang Dyno other than Cobb's, but I am used to the practices required on a Dynojet. The calibration process on Cobb's dyno accounts for more variances but I have some doubts with the degree of accuracy if the RPM calibration isn't done right.

I noticed the operator at the Cobb Plano facility doesn't use the ignition pickup wire to input RPM. They do a manual calibration by trying to match the vehicle speed with the estimated RPM window on the dyno display, then lock it in. I want to think the dyno is expecting a 1:1 transmission ratio to eliminate another source of torque multiplication before the drive axle so it can properly match the roller (road) speed with the RPM plot on the dyno display.

My dyno pulls at Cobb were done in 4th gear. Tune only, it put down 311/384 with a pretty well heatsoaked intercooler. I see where one of the guys in the Turbo forum gained an additional 45HP at 6500 RPM on the AccessPORT stage1 map after adding a 5" ETS intercooler. He was even using a paper air filter on the stock intake box. It seems the Cobb tune has a little more room in the timing table at higher RPMs but most cars need a bigger intercooler to achieve full ignition advance.

I assumed Map 7 was safe for pump gas and meets boost targets that are more similar to the Cobb Stage 1 tune.

Interesting. The numbers seem low to me. Did you do a stock or map 0 baseline?

They seem low to me also. I really think the guy did the pulls in 3rd gear so I don't think I can really believe these numbers. No, I just kept it on Map 5.

Interesting- here are my dynos on the same dyno. Yet you are faster than me?? I know the XI / MT play a role...but???

something is not right here. you should be putting down close to 315/358.

Did Calvin do it?

No question something is not right. My comparatively weak tune put down 297/323 @ 11.2 psi.

Yeah, but like I said I think he was in 3rd gear which totally skews the results, right?

I'm not positive how significant (or not) that is on a Mustang dyno but it's a general rule-of-thumb to dyno in the closest gear to a 1:1 ratio through the transmission. That means 4th gear on autos and 5th gear on manuals.

I don't see your plot on the dyno database yet. It should be posted probably within a week so it can be compared to other cars. I see mine and Joe's up there right now.

It could be off make 5-10 ponies maybe, but not 20 or 30. An buddy and I tested his car on a mustang dyno (FIS in Mckinney) in 3rd & 4rd gear. The pulls were with in 5-7whp of each other. Same day. We even changed vehicle weight to see how much difference it made, wasn't that much either.

You don't have any boost leaks, correct? How do these cars behave with slight leaks? I know my S4 would have a noticable power difference when I had even a small leak.

Now, I've seen two of the same year, make model car with the same mods make 40-60whp difference on the dyno, but yet when we did 4th gear 40-120mph pulls, they were identical. Neither car was faster than the other....but every time car B got on the dyno, it was 40-60whp lower. It just didn't like the dyno. Maybe your car is like his?
