Hey,
Is there anyone running Ohlins R&T with the original springs that come with the kit? Can you please provide some feedback. Thanks in adv. |

Yes, I am. What do you want to know? I have no criticisms. If you do a search, this has been covered before. Some who do a lot of track work have said they feel the rear springs are too soft, but never been a problem for my daily driver.

Not yet. I'm still looking for a place in Buffalo NY to do it but everyone is quoting 6 hrs minimum. It's too expensive to bring the kit all the way here. Well 1st how low are you? Can you put some pics up. I just want a finger gap between wheel fender and tire but some people have said that the springs are not set up to go that low. Also if you are lowered do you ever hit the bumpstops and are you running any camber plates? Last edited by swifty; 11-07-2012 at 04:49 PM.. |

BTW, I can't answer to your PMs for whatever reason (you may have turned off the receipt of them). Alpina_B3_Lux

In terms of 'finger gaps', I can get one finger between tyre and wheelarch at the rear and 1.5 fingers at the front (i.e. more than the rear, but too tight for two fingers). Hope that helps.

I found another pic of my rear set-up, in which you can clearly see there is plenty of height adjustment available (both up or down).

That ride height looks stock. I'll probably go a smidge lower, but not much. Harold is installing my set on December 8th.
Alipina_B3_Lux: maybe the PM issue is because I'm a noob. No worries. Do you have any criticisms of the springs included? Your Bilstein review was great (like all your others)... Do a full review of the Ohlins PLEASE |

It's certainly lower than stock. Here's my car with stock (MSport) suspension before Ohlins. It's obviously riding higher, and an SE spec car would be higher still...

20mm lowering is recommended by Ohlins, but there is plenty of adjustment on this kit to go at near stock height or higher.

Thanks Harold. But I think 20mm relates to non-MSport models which are already lower than standard...

Lol. With a gap that big your car could double as a 4 x 4!
