How do you keep you car clean when riding with your pets?

I have a 3 year old, olde English bulldog and a 12 year old corgi mix. I've always taken them out to the park and beaches. But now that I havea nicer car I'm worried they will ruin it. My bulldog is also a big drooller...

I have a 70 pound Border Collie with long hair who sheds a lot and had the same problem. My previous vehicle was truck and he always sat in the back seat. It was a king cab pickup so the seat was small meaning other people rarely rode back there (didn't care about hair), and if I got on the breaks it was a tight fit so he would just hit the soft back of my seat and didn't have enough room to get enough velocity to get hurt.
So I had three problems, protect the leather, minimize hair and keep him restrained since there was enough room to the back of the front seats for him to get enough velocity to get hurt.
My solution was first to get whats called a pet hammock, they sell them at petsmart of varying degrees of luxury and cost. I opted for the plainer, cheaper one, mainly because its all they had in stock. It constructed of a canvas like material and basically goes between the front and rear headrests covering the entire back seat area. There are areas that can be unzipped for a backseat passenger and has pockets to put leashes and such in. This both protects the leather (he doesn't lay down on a ride so there is always the chance of a nail poking through), catches the majority of sheded hair that can just be shaken out when it is removed and provides a little more safety as it covers the floorboard area. The second thing I did was just get him a seat belt harness to keep him in place.

Cool looking dog BTW, I've always been a fan of English Bulldogs.

I have the rear seat cover from BMW + a hammock from Ross which goes on top of the cover. Luckily my dog doesn't drool that much.

A pet like a dog is one of the best things in life and they certainly don't last forever. Don't let a car that you'll have to clean after (no big deal) stop you from enjoying your dog.

+1

Luckily, my work allows dogs... so my corgi rides with me to work everyday. And for those that don't know, Corgi's are notorious shedders.

I use a soft crate that I put on the passenger seat. More than enough room for him and his stray hairs stay INSIDE the crate, and not in the car.
When we're done I fold it up and put it in the trunk.

This is the one I got:

His name is Racecar.

I have a Siberian Husky which is one of the worst breeds for shedding. This dog's hair has broken three vacuum cleaners, including a Dyson.

I bought a "car crate" for him, which is a soft crate that folds up when not in use, with a zip-up mesh door and a little pocket for leashes, treats etc. It fits perfectly in the back seat and is held in place by the rear seatbelts, similar to a car seat. It keeps the hair under control and protects the seat surface from his drool and claws (and also keeps him safely contained since Huskies are runners and escape artists).

I also have a Boston terrier and she rides free-range, either with a towel in the front seat or she'll sit on the passenger rubber floor mat. She rides to work with me once a week or so. Bruce (Husky) doesn't go in the car very often because he's an asshole, and he also gets carsick, poor baby.

Oh, and since we're posting pictures of our puppies, here are mine:
