Do You Feel Bad
Do you feel disgusted and bad that M package is free now, I feel terrible after realizing it is free and i just bought my car four months ago and i can imagine the frustration about people who just bought like one month ago or sooner.

No. Partly because I have no idea what you're talking about. I thought the M Aero package was a cost option. It wasn't even available in the US until this year, right?

But then again maybe... this is for UK
"To prevent any major complaints and keeping their buyers happy, until March 31st, BMW will give out for free the Metallic paint option, which usually ads another 580 pounds to the price. But more exciting, the M Sport Package on the Coupe it will be free as well until the end of this month, which means a discount of 2570 pounds."

I think what the OP is referring to is the BMWUSA.com 3 series build your own. It comes up as a $0.00 option but I still find i hard to believe it will actually be free.

Hard to believe but the UK report is too much of a coincidence don't you think?

Just another sales promotion tactic in difficult economic times. They're not reducing any prices per se, but offering a goodie for free. Creates excitement, and since it's a limited time offer, engenders a "get it now" mindset.

Haven't you figured out that all we care about here is how things are done in US, the rest of the world does not matter to us!

And the actual manufacturing cost for the car with or without the M package is practically the same. They already have the dyes for the bumpers and rims, the suspension is same as sport so in reality just because they can push a desirable options at no cost to you they can sell more cars to people that were dragging their feet.
