I know what you mean, but just personally I have noticed that pre LCI E90s have better consistency. The AEs in preLCI E90s were not designed as DRL lights as per E92 and 90lci so it might have something to do with that.

Actually in the settings of the Idrive under lights there is an option for turning on the DRL along side the locking confirmation settings. Perhaps the innovations package on the pre lci allows the angel eyes to be run more frequently?

Ah cool didn't know, but does it have the same brightness and intensity that LCI and E92s have?

Honestly I haven't sat it next to another bmw or lci model to compare it front on but I couldn't be happier with these LEDs. I had to unlock my car earlier today (parked outside) and they turned on as I was walking towards it, I stopped and smiled to myself because it stood out even with the sun out.

I would have to say that they are brighter and more intense than stock lci models -- my estimated guess.

I am tempted to try the Horizonled AE and to replace my current BMR one...
